Please forgive me for writing in English.
I know very little about Amanda Lear of recent years, I know some of her music from the 70's and 80's and after her rather disappointed flirtation with Europop in the 90's, I didn't expect anything new from this artist, not musically anyway.
It was the song: "I'm Coming Up" that first caught my attention and which made me decide to buy this album. I was not disappointed. Lear has yet again managed to renew herself, this time with grace and style.
The title and opening track "Brand New Love Affair" show promise, but is far the best this album can offer; "C'est La Vie" is fantastic with it's electronica flavours and dark undertones. Lear draws on her life experience and delievers someting that is indeed fresh and new.
I have heard this album three times now from start to finish and it grows on me every time, and each time I discover someting new. The last track "T-1 Love Suit" is a mix of all the songs and manage to add some amazing elements to the mix and is (for me) the highlight of this wonderful album.
Buy it and fall in love with this amazing artist in a brand new love affair.
