This book completely changed my way of thinking! I struggled in high school with an eating disorder. I did all kinda of crazy things to be "skinny". Everyone in the fitness industry told me to eat less (way less) and train more. So I dropped anywhere from 800-1000 calories a day and spent 2-3 hours at the gym 6 sometimes 7 days a week. I was completely broken and so tired of the same ole thing. This book is full of information and gives you a totally different view of how to lose body fat the right way.
I also followed the KISS program mention in the book along with his customized meal plan and lost almost 14lbs my first month. If you are looking for a way to stop the crazy yo yo dieting and all the crazy hours in the gym - this book is totally a must read - NOW!

Jeff takes a very anti-establishment approach on the fitness/weight loss industry. Expect to see a lot of sacred cows burned as he dissects long standing theories about calorie consumption and exercise habits. What caught my attention was the whole idea of focusing on speeding up my metabolism instead of just eating less, which can lead to a suppressed metabolic rate. I also learned that I've been spending way too much time in the gym and how to actually get better results by reducing my time in the gym by applying some of the principles in the book. This is a must have for anyone who wants to know the most productive way to get the most out of their eating and fitness.

This book made me realize that weight loss is not the same as fat loss. It enlightens me on which one should I give more focus on.
Before reading this book, I thought that cardio exercises was helping me lose weight but now I know that too much cardio can ruin a good diet. There are also a lot of knowledge for fat loss in this book, and would highly recommend this book to those who are seeking for a fat loss book.

As a person who struggles to manage my weight I found this book of use.
The book is well written and easy to understand.
It is short but the information is reliable.
The book makes the important distinction between weight loss and fat loss, it advises against crash dieting and focus on reducing fat by building muscle rather then just losing weight.

I've been struggling with a yo-yo diet for a long time, leading to me searching for a book on permanent fat loss. I learned a lot in this book, especially how it's not so much the amount of calories you eat but in what form those calories are coming in. Also how important it is to change up your fitness routine. Overall good book!
