Point & Click, No Hidden Objects - I Liked It 8 novembre 2013

This is a simple point and click, not as sophisticated graphically as many games out there. There are no hidden objects. The puzzles are mostly not too hard, although one or two stumped me, until I used a hint. Yes, there are hints available. The hint option is turned off by default. If you go into the main menu and enable hints, the hint button will appear. The problem with the hints, for me, was that they were very specific -- more of a solution than a hint. A few times the hint did get me out of trouble by giving me the answer, but there was no explanation as to how the solution was arrived at. Two examples are the clock puzzle time, and the configuration of stars, moons and suns needed to open one door. I'm pretty sure I know where the clues were on the latter, but how the correct lineup is determined from the clues was beyond me.

One other thing is that I needed to make sketches of the clues, some of which got a bit elaborate. Maybe some people can remember complicated hexagon arrangements they've seen in one place that have to be used in another place, but not me!

The game locked up once on my second generation Kindle Fire, about halfway through. I had to remove and re-install, then start over. The second time through I didn't have any problems.

Overall, though, I enjoyed this game and I'd buy another by this developer. It was very much worth the money.

THERE ARE HINTS 11 novembre 2013

you have to enable hints through "options" in the very beginning of the game. Hint is what for my through the the trunk! Swipe Bobbi pin all the way to the right, & swipe the screw driver all the way to the left to open the lock on the chest(trunk). Without the hint, I prolly woulda threw my kindle fire across the room on that one! Now, I'm pretty sure this is a glitch, but I CAN'T get the blue,or the red colors to work in the microscope!!! The green is the only one of the 3 colours that will work! Any tricks to that? I'd appreciate it! Also, can't get the big safe (the one with the suns, stars,,& moons on it to hardly move at all! Wth? The simpleness about the graphics are kinda cool, I enjoy that it is straight up point& click game! Other then the glitches, . I'm really liking the game. It's def worth 2 bucks

Please, sir, may I have some more? 8 novembre 2013

Purchased for and played on my Kindle Fire. I had no glitches, & I could see everything I needed to see. Sometimes I had difficulty getting things to respond as I wanted (some sliding motions are required.)

Pro: Tap anything. Tap everything! There is no time constraint and I never had to start the game over because I'd tapped the wrong thing! Mistakes are fixable.

If you're like me, you played the first Myst and loved it (back when 1 gig was a lot of space!) This game is like that, pared down to about, oh, four hours game play (If you're like me) : Tap everything, take notes, and feel triumphant when the clues come together.
The story line is simple; the introduction is amusing. There are some very funny moments, if you take the time to read everything. The art / graphics are nice and varied, the colors and complexity of the artwork suitable to each scene.

Con: Hints aren't hints, they're answers.

If you're like me, you hate to use hints. Hate it! To prevent this, click everything and take notes. Or, if you're like me, take pictures of the screen. It's faster than drawing, and I had my phone close by anyway!
Like another reviewer, I had to use hints twice - once because I hadn't been taking pictures, so could not figure out the clock. The second hint I needed because I hadn't clicked EVERYWHERE and I missed a medallion. The most difficult puzzle for me was the door with the three rings, so I will add this hint: 2 pages.

To sum up, you'll enjoy this game, if you're like me. It's cute, short, and free of drama. It may feel too short. I definitely look forward to the next one.

Love this but I need help! 15 novembre 2013

To make the colors work on the microscope, tap the color buttons on the left, but I have all my colors in the right hexagons (I took a photo of the key with my phone!) But it does nothing. Do I need white? And if so, how do I make white?
