Almost Married [Format Kindle]

I really liked this book. This is the book about Laurie, who we met on Lonely Millionaire, who is Mandy's sister. Lonely millionaire was such a fun story to read (aside from editing, but apparently there is a new copy out and its free), that I was delighted to read about Laurie and catch up with Mandy. Story begins with Laurie, who used to be a flight attendant, but quit because she wanted to forget about a pilot she fell in love with. The man she fell in love with, was a married man and she was left heart broken. She vowed to stay away from men who were not available or that did not want to get married or have kids. Laurie goes off to NY to visit her friend Gretel, her husband Steve and their adorable baby Morgan. When she gets there, she volunteers to babysit Morgan for a couple of days while her friend takes a vacation with her husband. On her first day babysitting, she takes the baby out the Niagara Falls and soon finds herself overwhelmed with a crying baby. In a desperate attempt to quiet the baby, she gives her car keys to the baby and Morgan flings them down the falls. Laurie didn't know what to do. Cooper witnessed everything and wondered how the beautiful woman with the baby would get home without her keys. He didn't want to get involved because of events in his past, but something kept drawing him to Laurie and the baby.

He offers to take Laurie and the baby home. During their drive together, they get to know each other more and the attraction between them keeps getting stronger and stronger, however, Cooper realizes that Laurie is a girl who wants to find true love and have a family of her own, something he vowed not to do ever again due to a tragic incident in his past. Due to circumstances, they are forced to spend time together, getting to know each other more and playing "instant family or house". Will he be able to overcome his past and move on? Can she give herself over to a man who couldn't give her what she wanted? Will they finally give in to their strong attraction?

Lovely, lovely, story. Very cute, heartwarming and humorous at times. Romance is very sweet and PG13. Certainly a good little find for a tiny price tag!

If you love a book that has LOTS of repetition, then this is the book for you! At first I thought this was going to be a cute book based on the other reviews..but alas I was disappointed. Im not going to write a description of the book because lets face it every other review has done it for me. I will say it has it's cute moments but SERIOUSLY it goes back & forth with the struggles of giving into one another, is it right, no its not, maybe it is, not its not, maybe...you get the point. By mid way I just wanted it to end and when it did, I was disappointing. I deleted this off my kindle, not worth even a second look in my opinion. This book should be free.

When you go touring at the Niagra Falls with a baby that you are babysitting, don't dangle anything in front of the baby that makes any sort of noise, because the baby will just snatch it out of your hands and throw it into the falls. That is exactly what happened with Laurie when she was babysitting! She had no idea what to do and was in a state of panic wondering how will she get home and what is she going to do about the keys, until Cooper (aka Mr. Right) comes along and offers her some advice and a ride home. Cooper vowed to never get married again after his previous disastrous relationship, until he saw a woman in despair with a cute baby in her hands. He had a shimmer of hope that grew and grew and grew throughout the story as Laurie and Cooper found themselves spending much more time together then what really was needed...
