The little Match Girl is a fairy tale. In this fairy tale it is a cold New Years Eve and the little Match girl could not go home until she sold one match. All she had on her feet were slippers, but they were too big and fell off. To keep warm she lit a few matches and imagined wonderful things. Once, she was by a beautiful Christmas tree like the one she saw in a store. I liked the book because it is very sad and happy at the same time. I think the lesson is to be thankful for what you have.
