Questionnaires devised by Waters and Hainley for the artists offer further insights into sex and its relationship with art, while the authors' lists of favorite "sex reads" provide inspiration for further reading.

About the author
John Waters, an internationally celebrated film director, author, and photographer, is currently developing a movie about sex addicts. Bruce Hainley is the author of monographs on Christopher Makos and Tom Friedman and is a contributing editor of Artforum.
