I’m very new to Ayurveda and this is the first book I’ve read on this subject. It explains properly what it is and most importantly talks about the Ayurvedic food. As I’m a huge fan of food and I like to eat healthy, I absolutely loved this book. The author tells you what you should eat and gives you great and tasty recipes. I am now convinced that I should follow Ayurveda and I would recommend it to everyone. This book is a great starting point.

mahbad!!! sounds like "my bad"...Well, it actually means, "intelligence."
anyway, having interest in India and its culture, I have known the existence of Ayurveda for more than a decade. However, I only knew of it through documentaries on TV such as National Geographic, History, or PBS.
As I am very interested in improving my health, I have always wanted to know more. Well, thanks to this book, now I have a better idea about what it is and how it works. Based on ancient philosophy on how the earth consists of, the system may seem quite crude. However, some of the things I have tried really worked. For example, the cold head shower for my sinus congestion always works (the book doesn't cover it, though. -_-;). Anyway, this book basically covers the basic human types and the tastes. It almost seems like psychology more than anything. In this sense, Ayurveda is similar to Chinese medicine or other oriental medicine. This book is more about cooking than other things. Or, I should say I benefitted much from its recipies.
Great for beginners. Get to know more about your body types and the tastes and stay healthy. Live long my friend.

If you are looking for a great book on Ayurveda, look no further! It's filled with tons of practical information and even contains recipes to try at home. It clearly explains what Ayurveda is and talks about Ayurvedic cooking in much detail. Amazing book, highly recommend it!

The book gives examples of meals that can be made following Ayurvedic Cooking. It also gives easy to understand definitions explaining the different body and personality type's needs.

To define which type you will need to use a questionnaire from another source. This distracted from my full understanding, the quiz or a link to the quiz should have been included in the book.
