These are my initial observations after reading through this book, prior to preparing any of the recipes. This information is what I think others should know when making their decision whether or not to purchase, and they type of review that I sorely wish I could read on every cookbook. I will update my review after making a few of the recipes.

These recipes are all cook-in-oven or cook-on-stove. There's nothing for a bread machine here, which is what I was actually looking for. If bread machine recipes are what you're looking for, pass this book by or be prepared to tinker/convert.

This book is heavy on the Breakfast Breads, Sweet Breads, and Muffins recipes (16 or 19, see notes below), which I consider bread-like items. This book is shy on what I consider "normal" bread recipes (6 or 9, see notes below), or things you can use for a sandwich.

This book has 3 sections, with recipes for the following items:

Breakfast Breads:
- Banana Pancakes with Apples
- Churro Waffles
- Pumpkin Waffles

Artisan Loaves:
- Date Bread with Chopped Walnuts
- Dark Rye
- Nut and Seed Bread
- Banana and Zuccini Bread
- Sandwich Bread
- White Bread
- Tropical Coconut Loaf (with the amount of coconut flour and coconut sugar, cinnamon, bananas, and pineapple called for in this recipe, I'd consider it a Sweet Bread)
- Carrot Spice Bread (with the amount of coconut flour and coconut sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg called for in this recipe, I'd consider it a Sweet Bread)
- Almond Butter Sandwich Bread (interestingly, this recipe calls for zero flour of any type, and strikes me as a more of a Sweet Bread)

Sweet Breads:
- Chocolate Bread
- Chocolate Banana Bread
- Macadamia Bread
- Mixed Fruit and Nut Bread
- Avocado Banana Bread
- Lemon Bread (the amount of eggs called for in this recipe implies "cake" to me rather than bread)
- Cranberry Walnut Bread
- Sweet Potato Bread

Muffins:
- Coconut Toffee Muffins
- Strawberry Muffins
- Classic Blueberry Muffins
- Cocnut Carrot Raisin Muffins
- Apple Muffins

Ingredients that some folks might consider obscure or uncommon called for repeatedly throughout this book:
- Coconut flour
- Coconut oil
- Almond butter
- Almond flour

Ingredients that some folks might consider obscure or uncommon called for at least once in this book:

- Arrowroot powder
- Ground flax
- Flax meal
- Flax seeds
- Coconut milk, full-fat
- Coconut milk
- Dates
- Coconut cream
- Coconut sugar, raw
- Tapioca flour
- Caraway seeds
- Pumpkin puree

Common ingredients called for throughout this book:
- Eggs
- Baking soda (and strangely, not a mention of yeast)
- Apple cider vinegar
- Bananas

I have no idea what the "awesome free gift" for buying this book is, as I downloaded it on a free promotion.

I feel that describing this book as 34 pages is inaccurate. With the the "Book Description" taken almost exactly word-for-word from the e-book itself, pages blank except for section headings between sections, and a blank half page or more after each recipe, I'd say 20 pages is a closer estimate of length of written work contained.

The 22 recipes contained are easy to follow, without complicated techniques or advanced skills required to complete.

I am insecure about baking any recipe for I intend to use for sandwiches that doesn't include yeast. I will eventually try one of the Artisinal Loaves, but I don't hold out much hope. I will update this review, though, when I do bake one of the Artisinal Loves, as well as if I make anything else from this book.

I would suggest this book if you're looking for wheat-free recipes for waffles, pancakes, and muffins because those recipes don't seem all that much different, baking-chemistry-wise, from wheat-based recipes. Yes, they substitute different flours, but the other baking chemistry having to do with fat, eggs, sweeteners, and leavening seem familiar to me after 30 years of baking. I can't say this for the Artisinal Loaves recipes.

I was going to give this 3 stars (what I consider neutral) because I thought the length was inaccurate and because there was nothing in the "Book Description" about bake-in-oven or bake-on-stove only (i.e. no bread machines), but the very easy directions (nothing complicated here!) begs it to be upped to 4 stars until I get around to making any of the recipes.

Wow! These are some great gluten free baking recipes! Seriously, these are some of the best gluten free baking recipes you’ll find. I’ve been eating a gluten free diet for improved health, but I could never find good baking recipes. I really love bread and baked goods, and now I can enjoy them thanks to this recipe book. There’s nothing better the Nut and Seed Bread recipe on a cold winter day when combined with a hearty soup. The Dark Rye recipe is also amazing. Try using it on a delicious rueben sandwich, or a turkey and rye.

My entire family also eats gluten free, and I always had a hard time finding recipes for good gluten free sweets. All the kids wanted me to make pancakes and muffins, but the recipes I found on the internet weren’t the greatest. But the recipes in this book work great. They are so good. Your kids will love you in the morning after you whip up a batch of churro or banana pancakes. You can prepare and cook both recipes in less than 15 minutes because they are so easy to follow. The recipes are so quick and easy. If you're looking for some easy, delicious gluten free baking recipes, this book is the ultimate. Also, the free gift the author included was awesome!

I have never made bread of any kind before but have always wanted to. My new girlfriend prefers gluten free so I hopped on Amazon and this book stuck out. I started with the white bread because it seemed simple and I had all the ingredients except the almond flour.

The recipe was perfect, just enough details, but not too much. It took me 5-7 minutes to follow the instructions then I put it in the oven, not really sure what to expect.

When I saw the finished product, a nice browned loaf, but with a somewhat yellow tint, I was very impressed. It did taste very "almondy" though. Since it was called white bread, I was planning on making sandwiches with it. But once we saw and touched it, decided that just a little butter would be nice. And it was!

If I had it to do over again, I would make it in the morning, as a breakfast bread. It's really good. Would recommend this book to anybody--as I've never made bread or anything gluten free before and this was about as simple as it gets.

From the beginning Sarah grabbed me and didn't let go. Giving me the absolutely perfect 'Free Gift' was a great move to thank Amazonians for looking even if they didn't want to buy. The gift is a spot-on complement. What I liked most about "Baking Gluten-Free Bread" was its waffle and pancake recipes. You don't often see that in a bread book. Heck, until i read Sarah's book I never really considered waffles and pancakes as bread. And the recipes? Well, let me just say, when reading a bread recipe book can get your mouth watering then you KNOW you're onto something...and healthy breads to boot. The recipes are short, simple and no-nonsense. No over-your-head bakery-babble. A nice change for a healthy cookbook. None of that in-your-face health preaching here either. The only thing missing is the smells. Sarah, you could slip in a scratch-and-sniff?

This i great book for people who are sensitive to gluten, or choose to live the gluten-free lifestyle. The recipes the author provides are excellent, easy, and very quick to make. A great addition for busy people who are always on the rush!
