Présentation de l'éditeur

America's past time, Baseball! Do you want to learn how to play baseball the right way? Are you a coach and want to teach your students how to play baseball? Do you want to pitch in the Major Leagues?

Pitching a baseball takes a great deal of concentration and repetition and that's why I've put together a short eBook detailing the fundamentals and drills necessary to "Pitch Strikes."

These are time tested drills that have been tried, proven and used over the past 40 years to develop pitchers that have won championships and made it to the Big Leagues. These techniques are not hard to do but are essential fundamentals that all pitchers must learn if they are to throw strikes and control the game.

This book was written for coaches but kids who want to learn to be the best will find it a guide book that they will use throughout their career as a baseball pitcher.

Biographie de l'auteur

Steve Adler grew up in Southwest Michigan and is a graduate of Central Michigan University. He was a walk on pitcher but his time was cut short by a rotator cuff injury. After graduation he returned to his hometown and took teaching and coaching positions within the Lakeshore Michigan Public School System. Steve Adler is now retired but taught in the Lakeshore district for 39 years. During that time period, he coached high school baseball, basketball, and football. Most notably were his Varsity Baseball coaching accomplishments from 1984-2005. During this time his teams won five district championships, two regional championships, appeared in two final fours with one appearance culminating in the 1990 Class B State Championship. That title was the first boys' state championship in Lakeshore History. Coach Adler was named district coach of the year twice (1992, 1995), regional coach of the year twice (1992, 1995) and coached in the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) All Star game at the old Detroit Tiger Stadium (1996). He coached numerous All-State, College and Professionally Drafted players. Coach Adler also coached football for over 25 years as a varsity assistant, junior varsity, and 8thgrade coach. In basketball, he coached as a varsity assistant, junior varsity, freshmen and 7thgrade coach for over 30 years. He coached 3 sports each season for over 25 consecutive years. Coach Adler was recently inducted into Lakeshore Hall of Fame, Class of 2013. Steve Adler now teaches pitching to kids of all ages at the Twin City Baseball Academy in St Joseph.

The drills utilized by Coach Adler are the fundamentals that simply help pitchers become better on the mound. My son has followed Coach Adler's program for the past eight months with fantastic results. Not only has his velocity and accuracy improved, but his off-speed pitches are more effective and consistent as well. The knowledge and experience Coach Adler brings to the table are top notch and invaluable to anyone aspiring to be an elite pitcher. Highly Recommended!!!

I worked as Steve's JV coach for 14years. These drills teaching these techniques proved their worth over and over again. The book is easy to read and understand while clearly conveying the important aspects to be a young pitcher. I recommend this book for all youth coaches and parents.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 True passion for teaching! 23 mai 2014

My son has been fortunate enough to personally work with coach Adler. My son already knew some basics, but coach was able to refine and develop things in my son's delivery that have truly made a difference. He has more control and is working on some pretty impressive pitches. He even had some arm pain related to his delivery that seems to have been corrected by coach's intervention. It has been so fun to watch him grow in the sport he loves so much. You can't go wrong taking tips and doing as coach Adler recommends in this book! My son considers himself lucky to have had the opportunity to utilize coach Adler's expertise to improve his game.

My son has been working with Coach Adler since the fall. My son has always been a good controlled pitcher, but has needed help developing more pitch options and gaining velocity. Since his time with Coach, he has gained in technique, more pitch types and speed. Lastly, and I cannot stress it enough, everyone should follow the drills that are defined in this book. It is a difference maker. Lastly, which has nothing to do with the book, Coach is a TRUE coach that knows how to reach kids and get the most out of them. That is a rare gift.

This book is excellent! I pitched for Coach Adler for three years in high school. It is really neat that he produced this guide and manual designed to show kids how to pitch correctly. My son trains with him weekly and gets better every session. A real teacher a real coach continuing to educate and inspire baseball players to learn and excell. Sincerely, Joe Tourangeau.
