My son loves to read this book series and I love to see him learn new words as we keep reading them. The books themselves are solid, thick cardboard pages that have stood up to a number of chewings and getting stomped on. Yes, stomped, b/c that's what the joker's giant robot does while it's on the loose. If you're a parent and a superhero fan, this is the book series for you.

My grandson loves this book. 3 out of 5 nights per week, we read this book before going to bed. At 3 years old, he will even want it read when he takes an afternoon nap! He is an official Batman officianado

I'd give this book the same review as the one I posted for Batman is Brave Board Book:
My toddler loves this book (full disclosure: it was actually a Christmas gift to me from my wife..ha).
Bold colors with easy to turn pages. It has a nice little story. My daughter loves all the onomatopoeias (ie. sound effects). "Whoosh!"
The best part is that the artwork is based on the mature Batman Animated Series version of Batman, yet there is no "violence" in the book. Also, Batman has a smile on his face. The other Batman board books feature a version of joyless Batman straight out of the comic books. Those books also have cartoon violence - punching/kicking. None of that here.

These board books by Donald Lemke turned out to be a big hit with a 23 month-old boy - they have turned into his go-to bedtime books. Although they are board books and so are written to toddler level, his 4 y.o. brother found them good enough to actually enjoy reading time together, which doesn't happen too often.
The board book construction is great, they hold up to to the kind of handling you'd expect from a rough and tumble kid, and the artwork is bright and easy to follow. I highly recommend all of the Lemke superhero board books for kids that show in interest in that world.
