Bite-A Truly Thrilling Read 25 février 2008
Par Tim Cary - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
This is an amazing book, filed with an intriguing and complexly interwoven mixture of adventure, science, and romance, set in Africa and Amsterdam, vividly describing the deliberate unleashing of a scourge long-suffered in the tropics, but unknown in the temperate climates. Mixing in scientific intrigue with the story of a pugnacious hero facing down a relentless and ruthless adversary to save his love, while at the same time telling the interrelated story of her previous life in Africa, the book cannot be put down as it races to its surprising conclusion. The author does a marvelous job of making the characters and places he describes come to life in a very vivid way, and the story he weaves is truly compelling and convincing. Any reader who likes a good intrigue novel should read this book!

Great read! 6 mai 2014

Loved this book! Good, solid characters with a real twist at the end as to who the adversary really is. The book goes back and forth between current time and the pages of a journal. Very interesting insight into the workings of pharmaceutical companies and how they measure their priorities for the research and development of drugs for market. You feel the panic of the man whose girlfriend has gone missing. Is she dead? Did she voluntarily leave or was she taken? I'm so glad I read this book. It really was one that I couldn't put down.

Disappointing 16 juin 2014

All the advertising hype about it being "The most gripping thriller you will ever read" is way overblown. The plot is OK, but even during the parts where the reader should be totally engrossed, I found myself rather bored. It moves terribly slow. A book worth reading, but definitely not exciting.

Good Reading 4 janvier 2011

It wasn't the most "gripping thriller" I would ever read, but it kept my interest going throughout. I only hope that the pharmacutical companies aren't that greedy - but I'm probably too naive.

Fantastic read. Felt like I was there with them most of the time. Never bogged down nor became boring. My jaw dropped in a few places even. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. Bravo Nick the ten years spent produced something to be proud of calling your own.
