About the author
Hal OLeary has received world-wide recognition for his achievements in pioneering ski instruction for children and adults with disabilities. As founder and director of the National Sports Center for the Disabled, Winter Park, Colorado, Hal has traveled throughout the world to assist with the development of programs similar to the one at Winter Park. His numerous awards include induction into the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame in 1990, the James Brady Award by the Colorado Sports Council in 1993, and most recently the election in 1994 to the U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame.
