Présentation de l'éditeur

WARNING: This is not the actual book And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. Do not buy this Summary, Review & Analysis if you are looking for a full copy of this great book. Expert Book Reviews presents a comprehensive review, analysis and plot summary of Khaled Hosseini's novel And the Mountains Echoed. This is an epic tale set in the mold of Doctor Zhivago, in which the lives of the characters are determined by great historical circumstances and events that they are powerless to control. And the Mountains Echoed is a love story of a different kind. It tells of a little Afghan girl’s unlikely journey with her family. Pari, as she is named, is loved by her older brother beyond words. When she is torn from him and her family at the tender age of three, the stage is set for the suspense that will last as long as the story. Will they ever meet again? As it was for Hosseini’s The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, Afghanistan is just the setting for a profound exploration of the human soul and its capacity for good and evil -- paradoxically often at the same time and by the same person. No amount of factual history can give as deep and vivid a sense of the reality of Afghanistan in the last seventy years as this story gives. Likewise, no mere reporting or film documentary can give as lucid an account of the cruel decisions forced on people living on the verge of destitution. How does Khaled Hosseini enlighten us in And the Mountains Echoed? • The novel unblinkingly sheds light on the glory and the tawdriness that is human nature, dissecting its varied shades of good and bad. • It gives insight into the true nature of love and its nemesis, selfishness. • The story engenders humility in judging any person’s motives or actions, making it more difficult to condemn or exalt reflexively. If you liked Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, you'll love And the Mountains Echoed!

It's one of those books that you can't stop reading. It's a great story told about one's love for family and the quest to find one's treasure in life. Pari's adventure in life could be anyone's. The love that binds their family, and the strength each character has showed is truly an inspiration to anyone who reads this story. I recommend this book anybody who wants to have a good read and be inspired.

A tale of a young Afghan girl and the events and people in her life is reviewed, summarized and concisely examined in this review of the book `And the Mountains Echoed.' Delving into symbols, characters and chapter summaries this review leaves no stone un-turned in an effort to condense the information presented in the original story. But it is more than just compact information, the review also discusses how the story and the history of the time overlap and work with each other to create a pungent tale of difficult times in Afghanistan. A great companion to the original novel this review gives you the most important events and parts of the original in a clear and compact way that allows for a quick refresher.

HASH(0x9965b654) étoiles sur 5 Hosseini is such a talent 23 août 2013

In this heart-wrenching, yet captivating novel, one will find solace in the honesty of Hosseini in revealing the pains and the joys of life as any individual goes through regardless of race, country, or religion. What is more appealing is the way Hosseini intertwined stories of a multitude of characters without taking away the focus from the main character, Pari. These characters actually help conclude and resolve the conflict that revolves around Pari and Abdullah. Once you start reading this book, like Hosseini's other books, you will find it difficult to put it down because every bit of the story is relatable in the sense that it personifies individual struggles such as selfishness over love and greediness over goodness. Finally what is delightful about this book is the way the author used a lot of symbolisms to romanticize the novel, which shows that this story has some sort of deep connection to him and his roots.

Some people don't understand why you would want to purchase a book summary or review and I get asked "why do you purchase the summary/review even after you purchase the book?" This book review gave me the perfect answer for that question... so many times you will read a book and there are parts of the storyline that will stick with you and other parts that will not. Then there are times that you will start reading a book and it is so exciting that you end up spending too much time in the book and not enough time in real life. Or the opposite happens and you can get so bored by the book that you can't complete your daily tasks.

When I read this review there were some things I picked up that I maybe would have missed in the book. This book review like others can give you some additional perspectives on the book, the story line and what the author was trying to achieve with the book.

Specifically for me the Review of Khaled Hosseini's "And the Mountains Echoed" is a pre-read. Something I can get done quickly which will tells me when I should start reading the book. This review excited me and so I know I won't start reading this book in the week and instead will start reading on the weekend when I know I won't have many reasons to put it down so I can enjoy it to the fullest.

I recommend this book review if you are the type of reader who wants more than what the book has to offer from the writer's side... Highly recommended!

Expert Book Reviews have done it again, their analysis of 'And the Mountains Echoed'
After thoroughly reading through this review I was able to further grasp the understanding, as when you read a book certain parts 'click' and other parts don't - these guides are great for filling in the blanks.

Recommended reading.
