Why make out of something Healthy like Broccoli something inedible for health conscious people??
Since when is processed Cheese healthy??
Same goes for canned soups, stuffing Mix, etc? On which health planet does the Author lives? I hate to be that rude, but if someone misleads the title like this, I cannot help myself to be honest about it,
I love Broccoli and don't eat any kind of processed food, I was hoping to find a variety of healthy recipes in this book, but, what a disappointment!!!

the broccoli is the only healthy food in most of these recipes. Everything else is not guaranteed healthy. This book is not for me.

Everything in this book is off the Internet and NOT written by this supposed "M.D."

Helen submitted the Broccoli Casserole recipe on allrecipes.com and this "doctor" copied it word for word! Now that brings to mind the question WHY does an "M.D" do that?

A gal named Autumn is the original author of the recipe Broccoli Stuffing on allrecipes.com, word for word. Guess the good "doctor" can't ever make up any recipes himself that are healthy after all his talk (more than likely it is out of Wikipedia) of the nutrition in broccoli and then "he" or whoever is the true recipe rip-off artist for this so-called publishing company selects the junkiest recipes to steal off allrecipes.com. But that's what's under his name as the "author" of this rip-off recipe cookbook.

Melissa Morgan is the author of the Broccoli Cheese Soup V from the Internet site allrecipes.com that was ripped off and put in this book to which "Jonathan Doue M.D." claims original authorship which is a farce. And "1 1/2 pounds processed cheese food (eg Velveeta)" right out of the recipe on the Internet!

If I were a heavy betting woman, I'd put a hot quarter on the fact that this "author" is NOT any "M.D." as he and this publisher, Encore Books, claim. Many of his books do NOT include his supposedly medical credentials which I think is because he's NOT a medical doctor as he and Encore Books claim at all by any stretch of the imagination.

And on and on it goes. Lots and lots of cheats selling books they never "wrote" but just cut and pasted off the Internet. A "Doctor" should know better and have higher standards than this if he really is a "doctor" as he and his publisher claim.

After extolling the benefits of broccoli, the book opens with a recipe that contains condensed soups, instant rice and processed cheese sauce! Most of the recipes in this book are just your typical broccoli recipes: quiche, broccoli salad, broccoli and cheese this and that, which perhaps taste good but are very high in fat.

As always, the formatting is terrible!

My daughter is a finicky vegetable eater but she does love broccoli. For this reason I was delighted to find Broccoli: The Ultimate Recipe Guide - Over 30 Healthy & Delicious Recipes by Jonathan Doue, M.D. Dr. Doue starts his cookbook noting some of the health benefits of eating broccoli such as being a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants. Following his writing of broccoli's health benefits Dr. Doue offers numerous recipes using broccoli. The one thing lacking in his cookbook was an interactive table of contents.

Some of the recipes you will find in his cookbook include:
