My daughter is 20 months old and every night was a struggle trying to brush her teeth. She would scream and cry at the top of her lungs! Since we got this book, not only does she let me brush her teeth without a fight at night, she chases me around the house during the day holding the book and her tooth brush! When we finish, she says, "Again!" Amazing!!!

I have two boys and I am trying to find ways to encourage brushing. My 2 year old really loved seeing other children brushing. The illustrations are cute and since the book is so simple it makes it easy to read before brushing.

Cute sing-songy book was the key to getting our son to cooperate with teeth brushing. He used to FIGHT it, but after becoming familiar with this book, he actually opens his mouth to get his teeth brushed.

Teeth brushing doesn't have to be a struggle! This is a great way to introduce and reinforce the teeth brushing habit.

I was surprised, this book actually worked. My son is 2 1/2 and got his teeth in late. He never really likes to brush his teeth i.e. it's always a struggle. I got this book after reading the reviews and it worked with my son. We keep his toothbrush, toothpaste (the non-swishing-spitting kind) and book at the changing table. He will pick up the items and tell me he wants to brush his teeth. I read the book once slowly and let him brush his teeth himself. Then I read the book again and we brush his teeth together. It took awhile before he got better at doing it himself, but he has! The part where it says something about rinse, swish, spit is too advanced for my son (as another reviewer noted), but it's not a problem. I tell him that's something he will do later and "Can you make a face like a fish" (as the rhyme says to do). He likes to make the face like a fish and keeps on brushing. It is a short song so we have to read it a couple times, but he likes it. We've had the book for 2 months now and it still holds its appeal. I definitely recommend to for parents struggling like we were.
Giving it 4 stars because it could be twice as long.
