This work, an outgrowth of the 11/28/88 cover story in Business Week magazine, ranks and describes in considerable detail, including quotations from 1988 graduates, the top 20 business schools in the nation. The 20 runners-up also are profiled, but less comprehensively. Comparative statistics and expert advice on applying for admission to Master of Business Administration programs are provided, too. Although Tom Fischgrund's The Insider's Guide to the Top Business Schools ( LJ 11/1/88) supplies longer personal essays by recent alumni, this covers many more institutions and is more up to date. Recommended for all libraries serving potential business school students.
