Good story, great writing 3 janvier 2014
Par Linda Hudkins - Publié sur Amazon.com

Anyone who is old enough to have shopped "downtown," whether it was Johnstown or any other city in the United States, will love Jeschonek's story. The book puts a little guilt for the passing of charming downtowns on those of us who bought the book here on Amazon or at "the mall." Jeschonek's writing is very smooth and easy to read.

Fun and different, a nice twist on the usual Christmas story 25 décembre 2013

I really liked the book. Glosser's is a familiar place even if I didn't live in Johnstown growing up. And the lead character, Jack, is a good kid who makes some tough choices. I wonder what people would have written in their reviews if Glosser's was managed by a miserly old man who was haunted by ghosts from the past, present and future?

I really enjoyed this book. Brought back alot of memories. I use to work at the store and it was really neat going back to those days. I also enjoyed the twist at the end of the story did not see that coming, I'm sending the book to my mom to read. I hope you write more books about glossers and Johnstown.

Former Glosser Employee 20 décembre 2013
Par Sally C. Fink - Publié sur Amazon.com

As a former Glosser Bros. employee, I found this book a lot of fun. Good descriptions of how the store appeared in 1975 brought back many memories. Cute story if a bit lightweight, but still an enjoyable read.

I purchased 2 copies of this book as it was written about a store I shopped in while growing up. Was enjoyable read and gave one as a gift to a family member. We both enjoyed the read.
