One of the great colourists, Jack Cardiff worked his way up from apprentice to camera operator in the 1930s, first in Freddie Young's camera department at Elstree studios, then at Denham Studios, where he worked under legendary Hollywood D.P.s such as Charles Rosher, Hal Rosson, Lee garmes, Harry Stradling and Jimmy Wong Howe, Cardiff went on to photograph films by directors such as Alfred Hitchcock. Lire la première page
