De la première à la dernière image on est capté, envouté par l'histoire de Coco Chanel magnifiquement interprétée par Barbara Bobulova, accompagnée d'Olivier Sitruk (dont le charme ne peut que renverser toutes les femmes de la planète); les décors et les costumes y sont soignés et somptueux. Ce film ne s'adresse pas qu'aux femmes, les hommes l'apprécieront également (certifié et vérifié auprès d'amis masculins qui ont adoré) et vous ne pourrez passer qu'un excellent moment. Attention : sachez que vous ne pourrez pas vous contenter de visionner les 2 épisodes en 2 fois, prévoyez 2x90 mn pour les regarder d'une traite !Quant à la scène du tango à 3...c'est un instant de pure sensualité... Salut! Jé suis desolé parce que ne sais écrire en français trés bien...Voilà mieux en anglais!I'm italian, so I've seen the premiere of this movie in 2 episodes on the main national network back in autumn 2008, and I've to admit that I was hooked by the first moment, so when I've found it here in this dvd version I had to have it!! Of course there was the curiosity of knowing the story behind the wonderful Chanel style and franchise, plus before the beginning of the show I had the chance of listening to the cast interview too, who tells the great success of this film in America (it had been shown in a famous festival and via cable tv Lifetime, because originally it was recorded in English, but BEWARE! this version by amazon.fr is only in FRENCH with subtitles just in French, but also with the specal colour ones for the hearing impaired,in case someone needed them). The story starts with a young Gabrielle and her little sister, left by the mother (who died young) and by the poor father in a convent (forever, because he just run away in the beginning!); it's indeed a harsh life to face, but the girl is a tough one and succeed in leaving for the big Ville Lumiére, Paris, begnning a new life and job in a little atelier. She's on her way to become Coco..In this new shop she meets a new female friend who woks there too, and will be her helping hand throught her entire career; plus her first crush,a rich lieutenant soldier (even if the greater love of her life will be his best friend, the english Boy)... I leave the rest of the story to you to discover, I don't want to spoil more: it's really a great pleasure and heart-warming too, it really will not disappoint anyone (apart from purists, because the story is romanticized). Overall it has a great cast too (the main character is a good actress from Est Europe, Barbara Bobulova, known in Italy for other series and for the Ferzan Ozpeteck movies,; the older Coco instead is played by the great american actress Shierly McLane, nominated for this role; plus the actor who plays Boy Chapel is really a good and charming one! I wish to see other films with him.. ;-)) The location are all the original places of the real story: that's really nice for this international cooproduction and for a tv-budget of course. Finally I must say that I've just seen the long trailer for "Coco avant Chanel", the new french movie dedicated to Mademoiselle, but I've found disappointed the chosen cast of stars, apart from Audrey Tatou, I think she's really perfect for the role...
