on peut y trouver une séance complète, ou juste un "finisher" en fin de séance pour se donner un coup de boost

One thing is for sure, the title does not lie. This book is packed FULL of workouts, and they are organized nicely into categories depending on what type of workout you are looking for. I especially like the section devoted to terms and abbreviations, because you'll run into plenty of those when talking Crossfit workouts. I guess that when I first read through the book, I would have thought there would be more text on the history of Crossfit, or some biographies on numerous athletes, but then I realized that info is probably easy to find elsewhere. It was lists of workouts that I was after, and this book provided plenty of them!

Ok not everyone wants to be a body builder, but yet I would like to have some form of a tutorial to allow me to stay active at a moderate pace. I think the majority of folks are like me, and if you are not? Then more power to you!! Anyway, that is what I like about this book, the workouts are of a wide range of intensity. If you want to go all out, there are workouts in here for you, if you want just a little bit to make yourself feel good, that is also an option! Looking for a quick, easy and fun CrossFit guide? Look no further. Now get off the computer and start moving!!!

According to the author, CrossFit WorkOut has many benefits and they are worth quoting here: INTENSITY - CrossFit workouts are fast paced and intense (as the emphasis is on speed and total weight being lifted), they are generally much shorter than a regular weight lifting workout - however since the workout is condensed it is constant non-­stop movement, there is no time to stop and talk to your gym partner between sets like you normally would as you are constantly working against the clock to better yourself; CREATES ATHLETES - CrossFit exercises are all high power functional movements, this is highly emphasized. CrossFit, unlike bodybuilding does not believe in low power isolation movements. The major benefit here is now that the focus has been taken off vanity and looks it has been put 100% on performance - the core strength, stamina, coordination, agility and balance you will develop through participation in CrossFit will transfer over to sports and all other facets of life; TIME - The number one excuse for individuals not following a workout regime is the constraint of time; yes its true - working out takes time. However, CrossFit WODs are short -­ with many intense workouts ranging from 15 - 20 minutes they are faster and more effective than a regular workout in which you spend an hour on a cross trainer mindlessly staring at the wall; MEASUREABLE RESULTS - CrossFit workouts provide you with measureable and repeatable data; this can be used to verify that you r fitness is increasing. With a series of `bench mark' workouts known as `The Girls' and `The Heroes' you can easily assess your progress; LIFE CHANGING - Change your boy, change you life and change your world. Cross Fit workouts build mental strength, grit and confidence; a tough CrossFit workout will emotionally push you beyond your limits. When you ignore the voice inside your head that says `it's too hard' or `I can't do that last rep' and push past it unbreakable confidence is built - then anything is possible; COMMUNITY -CrossFit encourages community, both in the gym and online. People encourage and support each other through out their workouts - you will never have to work out alone again unless you want to, as the bond formed between training partners make training truly fun. Full of WODs, but so is the internet and the various WOD generators. I don't know what I was expecting; the title says "555 workouts", but there's no detail on any movement, or any sort of anecdotes about how THIS one will make you puke, THAT one will make you pee your pants, and THAT one may require CPR.

So, overall, pretty sterile and boring.

Great book of workouts. From Beginner to Advanced. I really like how the sections are broken down. (No equipment, Kettelbells, running and so on) Lots of thought was put into the organization of this book. One more tool in my garage gym arsenal.
