I've studied and taught grid work for years and I find a lot of her information is how she feels the layout should be. I disagree with her comment that the stones in a grid work better if they are all from the same region. Diversity is a great key component in most situations. I want the stones that best fit the job. If I am looking to connect with the Angels I would want Angelite from Peru, Celestite from Madagascar and Seraphinite from Russia etc.
Another issue in her teaching I found her not wanting to commit to a direction of cleansing her grid. She mentions you can leave it up as long as you like, then maybe a month check on it but then in the next sentences energize it every week but you don't have to, it's how you feel. Don't dwell on it, but think about it. Some may never be taken down. Well, I know my curtains get dusty and my rug needs vacuuming more than once a month. Dust settles even if you keep your grid in a closet, as she suggests in one part. I find you should cleanse your stones especially if you feel that you want to leave this grid up for some time to reboot them. Whether your method is sunlight, moonlight, salt water bathes etc. The author doesn't explain the care of your grid and stones long term at all.
Then there is the lack of grid set up in the book. She suggests a layout for the 12 grids she lightly mentions with only a few (3-4) very basic stones. There is a suggestion of maybe a hexagon, 5 pointed star or a more complicated grid of the flower of life. But she does not mention the exact layout, the quantity of each particular stone etc. All of the work is left up to the reader and would be grid worker. If I buy a book of "How and Why" they work I expect to know the "How to" part.
The last thing I will mention is the constant links to her you tube video and her resources page. Here you find links to wiki pages (free), a link for the international center for Reiki (Which I have to add she mentioned the word Reiki once but did not explain what it is or how to use it with your grid. This would have really confused me if I didn't already know what it was) and a strong 2 pages to buy her 10 page layout book for 19.97. It comes as an enticing link to her own webpage to download 2 "free" templates in a tiny one word "download" accompanied by a large photo (in great quality, unlike her book) linking to purchase the templates package for the additional 19.97. When you click that, takes you to her web store where you can spend your money on her items such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, inquire about special order crystals, her elixirs, her etsy shop and it goes on.
So, if you are interested in reading this I would suggest the Kindle edition. Right now it's 2.99 and a bit overpriced for what you get. I do believe in the author's knowledge of her craft and understanding of how she thinks a grid works. I know 2 stars can be harsh and Amazon reviews get padded by others. I am writing a review based on what I took away from the book and my own opinion. I am not trying to bash an Author whom I feel has much more experience and knowledge than what was put into this project.
I wanted a book I could recommend to my own students and customers. But why would I offer a book that doesn't give strong enough information and leads them to purchase her products? It could have been so much more of a teaching tool and have been on teachers recommended reading lists.
Please keep in mind this is a practical guide, and not a dissertation. The information supplied is easy to understand, without having to grab an additional book(s) for definition (you know what I'm talking about).
This book can easily serve the needs of all, from experienced crystal healers, spiritualists to persons interested in crystals. An excellent book I plan to purchase as gifts and would gladly recommend without hesitation.
