Présentation de l'éditeur

Researcher and thought leader Dr. Brené Brown offers a powerful new vision in Daring Greatly, the #1 New York Times Bestseller and TED talk hit that encourages us to embrace vulnerability and imperfection, to live wholeheartedly and courageously.

Every time we are introduced to someone new, try to be creative, or start a difficult conversation, we take a risk. We feel uncertain and exposed. We feel vulnerable.

Most of us try to fight those feelings - we strive to appear perfect. But in a powerful new vision Dr. Brené Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability, and dispels the widely accepted myth that it's a weakness. She argues that vulnerability is in fact a strength, and when we shut ourselves off from revealing our true selves we grow distanced from the things that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.

Daring Greatly is the culmination of 12 years of groundbreaking social research, across the home, relationships, work, and parenting. It is an invitation to be courageous; to show up and let ourselves be seen, even when there are no guarantees.

This is vulnerability. This is daring greatly.

'Brilliantly insightful. I can't stop thinking about this book'

This book backs up the TED talk on Vulnerability that caused a stir in the USA and beyond. First hand experience of a sensitive and vulnerable woman mixed with the rigor of a professional researcher. Good follow up to the talk. For anyone who is interested in how we humans really manage our emotions.

This book is about those feelings and thoughts we all have whenever we have had the courage of doing something special, giving something about ourselves. It is also about the situations which we fear to face. The book is based on scientific research and handles the issue of shame or doubt of ones own value, in a very interesting way. It gives outsider insight to how we actually feel, think and behave and enables us to understand why we actually should accept ourselves, forgive ourselves and value ourselves more. I read this book because I was fighting inside myself with the feelings of shame. This book guided me to change thinking and gave also tools for this process. I really warmly recommend the book to all and everyone. It is easy to read and very attractive through various case examples and profound reflextion.

Full of statements without evidence. Repetitive. Emotive language. Dressed up in some sort of academic clothing. Sorry I wasted the money.
