A must for every practicing Emergency Physician 14 octobre 2014
Par Robert Meyer - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
Finally, an EBM book written by Emergency Medicine and Critical Care physicians that either trained in Critical Care, did a fellowship in critical care, or most importantly, are working in the Emergency Department. Along with DeGowen & DeGowen, this is a must on every practicing Emergency Medicine physician's bookshelf. As we face more and more hospital overcrowding, we find ourselves taking care of the sickest patients in the hospital. After reading this book, you will feel more comfortable in knowing how to manage these patients.

Par Andrew wackett - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Format Kindle
This is the perfect book for the Emergency Physician or Resident looking to learn more about Critical Care Medicine. The chapters are concise and perfect for a busy physician who works with critically ill patients in the Emergency Department. Each chapter provides enough, yet not too much detail on high yield topics. Definitely evidence-based and honest about the strength of the evidence. The end of chapter summaries are also quite good.

Par yoon perera - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
Perfect book for an evidence based general review of a variety of topics on your sickest patients. This topics in critical care have been changing rapidly and this books puts you in a position to understand the controversies. Well written and edited and still small enough to handle. I would recommend it highly.
Dry book, excellent content 19 mars 2015
Par Pooky - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché Achat vérifié
This is a very dry read with excellent concise content that is EBM-centric. I am becoming a better ER doctor with clearer validation for my clinical decisions as I read this - and it helps me to sleep on my commute. A little humor or levity would've been appreciated (or maybe justan attempt to make it an easier, faster read) - in that respect the good ol' Blue Book really delivered - but this is more ER-appropriate and is a lot like the Blue Book in terms of content, goals and information delivery and organization so I'll recommend it in lieu for its excellent review of current concepts. It has changed my opinion on several management strategies over the last month so it's clearly doing its job of educating me.
Invaluable Resource 26 octobre 2014
Par angelo Baccellieri - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Broché
This book is an invaluable resource for the busy emergency physician. Concise and easy to follow text lays out evidence based interventions and practice for a variety of topics relevant to critically ill patients in the emergency setting. The expert information laid out here will not only make you feel more confident in the approach and treatment of the initial resuscitation of critical patients but also in the transition to the intensive care. As an emergency physician with over 18 years of clinical practice I cannot emphasize how highly I recommend this book as a must have, not only for the benefit of the ED physician but for your patients as well.
