This book is just what a beginner should read. It helps in choosing the correct weapon as well as showing everything from the parts of the weapon to the stance, grip and safety tips. It is easy to read and understand and has lots of pictures. I would highly recommend this book and have purchased one for a friend.

I gave the book 4 stars because in and of itself its a good book. I didn't give it a 5 star because I thought it was a bit more basic than it lets on. It covers different stances, grips, gun handling processes etc but at the most basic level. If anyone has had any responsible gun handling experience they most likely have already had experience with what is covered in this book, you may not know it by the technical names but the concepts will be familiar. In my case it was taking a Hunters Education course when I was younger and being around other responsible gun owners and users.

If you are BRAND NEW to gun handling and or ownership then this book may give you a lot of information that will give you a good basis from which you might take a gun handling course or even read this along with a course that you are taking.
