There are two digital dictionaries for Latin available for the Kindle now. Both are based on Whitaker's Words.
I was wondering how different they were. The answer: not much.
I chose this one (A Digital Latin Dictionary) because of its MUCH smaller file size and it seemed to work faster than the other one. Perhaps it's because of the smaller file size. The other dictionary is 40 megabytes!
Then there's the price. This one is cheaper. Period.
Cheaper, Faster, Better. What's not to like?

2.0 étoiles sur 5 A good start, but Latin teachers and serious students beware... 17 décembre 2011

This dictionary (and its more cumbersome counterpart formatted by L. Nicolato) are both a major step ahead for support of Latin educational, literary, and reference works on the Kindle platform. Both, however suffer from that major weakness of lexical tools derived from the "WORDS" database: They have been stripped of all pointing (that is, diacritics to indicate proper vowel quantity against the classical or "restored universal" pronunciation of Latin). Traditionally these would be macrons, or more recently following ancient practice - as well as more effectively, both for legibility and cyber-compatibility - apices or "acute" marks.

If you are just an occasional dabbler in Latin, the bare alphabetic lemmas are satisfactory. However, even the most basic of printed Latin dictionaries and word-lists have always included vowel pointings for a reason: Anyone who wants to study the language to gain serious competency, to appreciate classical poetry, to prepare for a career in classical studies, archeology, anthropology, comparative linguistics, or lexicography (or even to participate in the fullest aspects of the the modern Living Latin movement), would be advised not begin with such tools as this. A proper awareness of Latin phonology is easy enough to learn if one begins with it - it is almost impossible to acquire later if one does not.

Serious students should hold out not only for correctly pointed Kindle dictionaries, but for fully pointed Latin texts as well, before adopting electronic sources as a frequent mode of study.

I bought the Digital Latin Dictionary but couldn't get it to work at first. I also have the Wiktionnaire for French on my Kindle and even when I changed my primary dictionary I still got the Wiktionnaire as the primary dictionary. The Latin dictionary wouldn't work until I completely removed the Wiktionnaire from my Kindle, then it worked just fine. This is something of a nuisance since the Wiktionnaire is such a big file I hate to keep removing and re-installing it every time I want to change what I'm reading.

I just got this and installed it on my Kindle.

It worked on the first try and does everything you could expect from such a cheap and simple program. I'm sure more expensive ones probably do more, but what more do you need?

It makes reading Latin fun and simple and works great as a default dictionary.
Finally someone made a tight little program that JUST WORKS.

Thanks Mr. McCarthy

I've just downloaded this dictionary to my kindle, based on the recommendations of others here. It has worked better than I expected. I am able to look-up English words with the supplied default dictionary, and if a Latin word is encountered its definition is retrieved WITHOUT changing the default dictionary. Both dictionaries appear to be queried. Any change in the kindle's responsiveness is unnoticeable.

My own use of a Latin dictionary is pretty casual and unsophisticated, so I will not critique its comprehensiveness. It is not unusual for a two or three word Latin phrase to be encountered while reading, and often there is subtle meaning or intent within a phrase that is not available by looking up each word individually. It would be valuable (to the Latin unskilled) if the dictionary ALSO listed common phrases and their meaning, when their first word was queried from the kindle.
