Présentation de l'éditeur

Whether avoiding pointless meetings with the clueless pointy-haired boss or angsting over insanely impossible sales goals, meaningless performance objectives, and a mind-numbing cubicle environment, Dilbert and his fellow corporate victims soldier on, providing a humorous release for the great brotherhood of office drones. For 20 years, Dilbert has connected with the unappreciated, making one and all wonder, "Has Scott Adams bugged our offices?" In Dilbert 2.0, a collection of the strip's first 20 years, Scott clearly demonstrates that through the dot-com and real estate bubbles to the new normal, Dilbert knows that the stuff of work is really funny business! Now presented for the first time in a four-volume electronic edition! This first volume of Dilbert 2.0 covers the early years from 1989 to 1993 for the celebrated cartoon strip.

This version of Dilbert for the Kindle Fire is very difficult to view. Many of the cartoons are presented in double panels, one above the other. This means that you cannot see any of the text without magnifying each individual story panel in each comic. Even then, the text is incredibly small. As these are images, it means that you are limited to the magnification that the software will allow. If there were a way to display a single comic at a greater initial magnification, then this would be a much better item.

My advice is to wait until the people at Amazon figure out how to display comics appropriately.

I was very excited when the iPad kindle app was updated so I can read comics, graphic novels, etc. on it but I'm very disappointed with this edition. Not only are the panels very small, the text seems to be pretty low res. the upshot is that this is almost impossible to read on the new iPad. I've read plenty of other comics on this so it isn't clear why Amazon is having trouble with it. I'm hoping for a better rendition later, or maybe being released on another platform that knows how to do comics properly.

OK, once you get past the per-syndication strips, readability improves dramatically. For whatever reason, the early strips don't have the resolution necessary to read well. Another odd problem though, even though the strips were easy to read, the app was still stuck on magnifying one panel at a time when you swipe. I could read the whole strip but when I swiped to go to the next one, it would magnify the first panel. You had to do this 2 more times for each strip. At some point it stopped doing this. No idea why it started or stopped, but it was very annoying.

It is a great read, and brings back many pleasant memories. Dilbert is timeless. Always to the point, Dilbert is the best office cube companion ever.

The kundle edition is not that good becaus ethe navigation is a little bit odd and the early dilbert works had a terrible scan (such small fonts and I couldn't zoom it, even o iPad).
Regarding the book, the early years is when Dilbert is beginning to be famous but not as after 93-95.
The strips are for fans (like myself) but I don't recommend it for a non-fan. it would be a little boring and it would spoil the later years books since a uninformed reader could think that all Scott Adams work is like the first book.

This book is laugh out loud funny. The book also gives you some of Scott Adams insight which I appreciated reading. I have been a fan of Dilbert for years and love these books, there is someone you know in virtually every strip.
