Présentation de l'éditeur

“All my life I’d always known what the Gentry boys were. A set of fraternal triplets born to a depraved family, they were rough, sexy and wild as wolves.” SAYLOR… I don’t even know if love is real. After running from the bastard who brutalized me, I limped back to Arizona, choosing a vibrant college town in the hopes of starting over. I never expected to find him there. Cord Gentry. He and his brothers were tough, lusty forces of nature I’d known since childhood. Years ago, Cord seduced me as a sick game. I’ve hated him ever since. Now here he is again, a man who beats other men bloody for money. Cord has always been heartless, dangerous, not to be trusted. And I want him so much I can’t think. CORD… They called us ‘those white trash Gentry boys’ until we believed that’s what we were. Our people squatted at the edge of a hellhole prison town for generations. The childhood we endured was the stuff of nightmares. I’d learned early on that my brothers, Chase and Creed, were the only people on earth worth my time. They all told us we were bad, that we’d always be bad. The horrors of the past have scarred my soul. But now I need to be better. For her. *Warning* This book contains explicit language, sexual situations, and violence which may be upsetting to some. ‘Draw’ is the first of the Gentry Boys series, however this New Adult Romance can be read as a stand alone.

Bad boy turned dreamy hero... 4 août 2014
Par momlovesromance - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Format Kindle Achat vérifié
Basics: HEA; no cliffhanger, though the Gentry boys' story arc obviously continues through at least two other books; no cheating; possessive alpha male; tough guy hero with a tragic past; heroine in need of some rescuing through she is no damsel in distress; hot, steamy sex; mild erotica with "f" and "p words; and dual POV.

Bad boy triplet Cord Gentry escaped small town Emblem, Arizona (think Florence, AZ) with his two brothers, leaving behind a life of poverty, violence, and tragedy to live in college town Tempe, Arizona (Arizona State University) where the brothers do underground fighting and anything else to survive. They are all amazing fighters, especially Cord, but they hate it and he knows that sooner or later it's going to get them killed. Then a blast from the past, Saylor McCann appears in Cord's life, a beaten mess, thanks to a rich, violent ex-boyfriend. Saylor is seeking refuge with her cousin Brayden who has become friends with Cord (since they are all from the same town).

Saylor and Cord have a horrible history that began when they were only 16 years old and he accepted a bet to take her virginity that resulted in Saylor's mortification and a vow to hate Cord Gentry until the day she died. Fortunately, the Cord that Saylor meets now is not the same arrogant, foolish sexy teenager she grew up with. This time around, Cord allows Saylor to see him for who is really is--a man who loves his brothers intensely, who is sorry he hurt her, and who quickly realizes his feelings for Saylor are more intense than anything he's ever felt before. After their relationship grows and Cord takes down the ex-boyfriend who beat and raped Saylor, they fall in love (after some major fall into lust).

I really enjoyed Draw. The writer did an excellent job of helping the reader feel the horror of Cord's childhood and Saylor's trip back to Emblem was exactly what was needed to round out the story. Understanding the horror of Cord's childhood is essential to understanding him and his brothers, as well as how he could possibly treat a 16 year old Saylor the way he did. It didn't excuse his behavior, it only explained it.

Highly recommend Draw and can't wait to read the other two planned books in this series. Hoping that the author might let us see more of Declan as well, maybe his own book since he's a Gentry too and still living in hell.

One of the best books I have read in a very long time. 29 juillet 2014

I love this book beyond words. I discovered this author by chance because of my love of Motorcycle Club romances. I read a couple of books and they were good so I tagged the author as one to pick up a book from. I got the chance to read Draw which is NOT an MC book so I was worried, because I very seldom branch out at the moment and my TBR pile is sky high. This book however is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. It sucks you from the beginning and before you know it the book is almost over and you're begging for it not to end. I fell in love with Cord and he made me smile, laugh and want to cry and all in a very good way. More importantly I fell in love with Sweet Say. I hardly ever care about the heroine, very few times in a book do they call to me as much as the male lead. Say did that from the beginning. I can't stress how much I love this book. You really have to give it a try. I can't wait for another edition of the Gentry Brothers, and at this point Cora Brent has gone from an author I'll look up to see what she has new to an Author I will anxiously await new releases from. You won't regret your purchase with this one.

This was a great book about a bad boy and his band of brothers growing up into mouth watering sexy men. Unfortunately though I liked the book I just didn't love it.

The relationship between Saylor and Cord was insta love and while this isn't always a bad thing in this book it just didn't fit. She had literally just jumped out of one abusive horrible relationship just to jump back into a relationship with a man that had hurt her years ago. It just wasn't believable and there wasn't really any build up or angst between Cord and Saylor.

I did however love the dynamics between the brothers and can't wait to read about them. I just hope that their books have more build up and storyline rather than the insta love.

The Gentry boys. Creed, Cord and Chase are triplets, they've always been wild and dangerous. With a violent father and drug addict mother they've had to fight to survive. Most people in the small town of Emblem avoided them, except for the girls, even Saylor who was considered a geek. When Cordero 'Cord' Gentry took an interest in her little did she know the consequences.

Present day and Saylor is running from her abusive boyfriend Devlin, her destination her cousin Brayden, he's always been her go to guy. Little does she know that she's about to come face to face with the Gentry boys again, in particular Cord.

I've read some of this authors books before and while I liked them, this is by far her best work IMO. This is more a character driven story, there is some action in the plot but basically this is a love story between two people who on paper at least are as different as chalk and cheese, but it worked for me. I'm looking forward to the next book, I hope the wait won't be long.

"Amor vincit omnia"- Love conquers all

I received an advanced copy of this book for an an honest review. I absolutely loved this book!! I just fell in love with the Gentry brothers; Creed, Cord, and Chase. They are a set of fraternal twins who grew up with extremely poor, abusive parents. They are feared and hated by the town, but the school girls dream and want them. Saylor is a sweet, bookworm type classmate of theirs, whose best friend is her cousin Braeden. When she was sixteen, Cord, took something of hers as a bet, leaving her humiliated and hating the Gentry brothers, especially Cord. Upon graduating Saylor wanted out of her town and leaves for college without looking back. Saylor enters into a relationship with Devin who is extremely wealthy and she should be happy, except Devin is abusive. After the abuse progresses, and Saylor has had enough, she escapes to her safety net, and best friend, cousin Braeden. What Saylor never expected to find was her worst nightmare, Cord Gentry, who happens to be friends with Braeden! A friendship is struck up between the two, and soon they find out they are actually meant to be together. Saylor also falls in love with Creed and Chase, who by the way, admits it was his fault all those years ago for the bet and the aftermath with what went down between Saylor and Cord. You can't help falling in love with the Gentry brothers. Cord is very artistic, Creed is musical. Chase is very intelligent. The Gentry brothers really function as "one!" There is a back story of fighting as well. This is how they earn their money and survive. You really get a feel for how they had to survive and the front they had to put on while growing up. Saylor's parents worked for the prison growing up. Her parents were a bit lack luster with her care as well. Saylor's cousin Braeden is a doll, there is a little twist about his girlfriend, Millie! I look forward to upcoming books with these characters. They are all to believable and likable.

I am a huge fan of Cora Brent. I love her MC series and cannot get enough of her books. This was a 5+ star read for me!!!!
