It arrived in good time and well packed by Amazon. I have used generic satellite systems before so I am not a novice. This one was not easy to set-up, and the instructions were mediocre. I have a motor driven dish Diseqc 1.2, and the setting of the satellite positions was not clear at first. After a degree of trial and error, I managed to find the appropriate menus, then I found that it auto hunts for satellites very well. By default it did not include a definition for the 5 degrees west French satellite, but this can be easily added.
The EPG is one of the worst I have ever seen. There are 4 categories of Favourites, Movie, News, Sport, Music. Though the names cannot be changed these favourites can be used for what ever you choose. I used them for programmes on different satellites, 5*, 19* and 28* in my case.
I guess so far I have sounded negative? but I have given it 5 stars?
Well once you get it working the quality of the image and sound is excellent. It switches between satellites, locks on and away you go. I have the clear to air programs in Fench off 5* west, Fr2, 3 ,5 and O, FR1 is acrambled. The quality is excellent. I have some off 19* east though there is little of interest. Then I have all of the UK off 28* east, BBC, ITV etc. This includes the HD channels, brilliant quality.
So if you have either a motor dish, or a switching box and want to watch the Free to Air English and French channels, this is the baby to buy. I paid 69 Euro, a bargain. So even though the EPG is rubbish, and the set-up was difficult, I love it.
