Présentation de l'éditeur

Sequel to Timber Pack Chronicles.

Jed Stone suffers in silence, damaged and poisoned from his fight with the rogue wolf. But he puts on a smile and does his duty, making sure his Timber Pack mates are safe.

Buzz Hinske belongs to a traditional lycan pack. Challenges and violence seem to be their way of life. Forced into hiding his true nature and feelings, Buzz obeys his alpha without question.

When they come together at the annual Lycan Conclave, Jed is elated to find his destined mate. Unfortunately, Buzz has already been promised to another…

If Jed wants to build a life with Buzz, he’ll have to overcome power-hungry challengers, hunters, and rival packs. But first, he has to convince his scared and confused mate two men can be destined to spend their lives together.

"Enforcer" is an entirely worthy sequel to the first Timber Pack book. It's an easy, well paced read without being unfaceted or forgettable. I loved it as dearly as all of Rob Colton's creations.

The entire cast is back with a few welcomed additions. This time, the Alpha's enforcer, Jed, is the main character although all your beloved favorites receive plenty of showtime.

A bit about the plot (A few spoilers!!):
Jed is still suffering residual pain from silver poisoning, but maybe even more lasting is the damage to his psyche. Although he saved Alpha Colton's mate, Parker (in book 1), he is plagued by thoughts that he could have done more, could have stopped the psycho Ethan sooner. His deep pain of failure makes him impotent in every sense of the word.

Upon the core Timber pack members arrival at the Conclave- a Lycan convention, if you will, Jed discovers the presence of his mate, Buzz. Buzz is the younger brother of Derek, a tyrant of an Alpha who expects unquestioning followers, especially in his brother, and Derek demands Buzz marry the daughter of another Alpha to gain pack unity.

Eventually, Buzz and Jed reunite but not all is easygoing for the couple. Before they can bask in the glow of mated bliss, they- along with the entirety of the Timber Pack- must complete a rescue mission into the human hunter's base, overcome challenging exes and wade through the terrors of a two year old. It's not without its difficulties, but the end result for the couple- and the reader- are nothing short of pure pleasure (*wink wink*).

While I think book 1 is my favorite (I adore Parker!), I think that book 2 is probably the better of the two. It has a depth that really anchors the story and Jed and Buzz are super cute together. I'm really looking forward to seeing where Jed's brother, Zef's story will lead...and trust me, there most definitely be a book about those two (please don't prove me wrong, Mr. Colton!). I smiled idiotically over Colton's, Parker's and Christopher's antics and generally just felt warm hearted about the whole thing. That isn't to say that trouble isn't brewing on the horizon- we certainly haven't seen the last of Alpha Derek or the hunters, and frankly I'm unsure who is more a threat to the Timber Pack.

Fantastic, fun and great priced read- don't hesitate to read this or any of RC's books! :)

Enforcer by Rob Colton continues with the story of Jed Stone. He continues to suffer from his injury in Book One and he feels a little emasculated and depressed. However, his depression ends when he meets Buzz Hinske. Buzz is not Jed's usual type: he's a not a twink, instead he's a muscle bear. Jed and Buzz of course face problems like Buzz's traditional lycan pack and his fear of older brother Derek and the little problem of Buzz's fiancee Shawna. Buzz and Jed must overcome those obstacles along with a group of humans hunting lycans before they can settle down and live a normal life.

Mr. Colton started out really strong: we saw the struggles that Buzz and Jed face from their perspectives and we're introduced to some new characters like Christopher and Rose:]. However, I think Mr. Colton ended the book rather prematurely.

- I thought that the conflict between Derek and the Timber Pack ended too early. The conflict seemed resolved rather easily and that doesn't seem likely given Derek's personality. I could have dealt with this if in the epilogue Mr. Colton hints at another confrontation between the two packs or if Mr. Colton wrote a couple more chapters exploring the relationship between Buzz and Jed.
- This brings me to my second point. I felt that Jed and Buzz loved each other, but I thought Mr. Colton said it, not showed it (the love between Jed and Buzz) with words. I would have loved if we got to see their relationship mature like Parker and Colton's relationship so I felt a little disappointed. The book felt incomplete and up until the end, I thought all the chapters were great.

So, I'm not saying the book isn't good, but I felt it was unfinished. If there were maybe 2-3 more chapters fleshing out the relationship between Jed and Buzz and resolving the Derek situation more realistically, then I would give Enforcer 5 stars.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Every bit as good as book 1, maybe even better 13 juin 2014

I absolutely love this series, and this book is every bit as good as book 1, though it has a different feel to it. I think I even liked it better than book 1, though it's a close thing. There was a lot that Jed and Buzz had to go through to reach their happy ending. I loved all of the characters, even the way Mr. Colton created the "villians" in this tale was absolutely perfect. All of the characters from book 1 are back, but we have a few new additions to the Timber Pack. It was a hell of a ride from start to finish, and if I could have possibly kept my eyes open last night just a little longer I would have finished it in one sitting. I really don't understand why Mr. Colton's books don't cost more than they do...I'm certainly not complaining, but I have paid a lot more for a lot less. Both of the books in this series are full novels, with fully fleshed out characters and exquisite writing. If you love werewolf romance with dominant males and an engaging cast of supporting chacters, you'll love this series.

Very fun, love this writer: he writes a good gay romance, with a nice balance of sex and feelings-stuff that a lot of the gay romance section lacks. This is a sequel building on the Timber Pack universe, with lycan politics, new packs that work with (or against) the heroes, and of course steamy love affairs. Only complaint is that the end was a little abrupt, felt like there was at least a chapter or two left in this one when I hit the last page. But hey, it sets up for a sequel, which I hope comes out soon!
