Premier Renewal Leaders Present Complete, Accessible Guide to Healing Ministry

The Bible is full of accounts of miraculous healing. And God is moving as amazingly today as he was back then. Thousands are being healed all over the world--and his children are part of it.

For the first time, premier renewal leaders Bill Johnson and Randy Clark team up to equip Christians to minister healing. Grounded from start to finish in Scripture, Johnson and Clark lay out the rich theological and historical foundation for healing in the church today. Full of inspiring stories, this book offers practical, proven, step-by-step guidance to ministering healing, including how to
• understand the authority of the believer in healing
• create an atmosphere of faith
• receive words of knowledge
• implement the five-step model of healing prayer

The ministry of healing is not reserved for a select few. God's miraculous healing is part of the Good News--and every believer can become a conduit for his healing power.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 This is the best book available today on Healing 6 octobre 2011

Format:Broché|Achat vérifié
I have read many books on healing and on healing evangelists. I have read and studied up on Wigglesworth, Lake, all the greats from the Voice of Healing era (summarized very well in "God's General"), John Wimber, a whole slew of books and people from Bethel Church (Bill Johnson's church) and even listened to Randy Clark teach for 7+ hours on Healing and Impartation.

But I have to say out of literally thousands of pages and hundreds of hours of videos and audio on the subject, this book truly is the ESSENTIAL book on the subject.

Pastors Randy and Bill have managed to summarize the entire area of healing in one fairly-short and very easy to read book. They succinctly summarize the theology behind it (and where the theology had digressed over the years). They clearly explain how and why God heals today, and they even teach very honestly and plainly on how to receive words of knowledge (one way God speaks to His children today).

This book is priceless. And I will personally recommend it to anyone and everyone as the BEST book available today on the subject of Healing.

Save yourself lots of hunting and searching for the nuts and bolts of healing, and check out this gem.

If you have a passion to see more of the love and power of God in your life and your church, then this book is for you. Randy Clark and Bill Johnson provide a biblically centered guide for the supernatural lifestyle that is the inheritance of every follower of Jesus Christ. Their ministries of healing the sick are evidence that the miracles of First Century Christianity have not come to an end. Pastors Bill and Randy are committed to sharing with the rest of us what God has given them; calling the church back to a ministry of power that draws the hearts of the people to God, heals bodies, and sets people free by the work of the Holy Spirit. I am grateful to them both for their efforts to equip the church for a life of miracles. What is different about this book compared to so many others written about healing ministry is that you can read this book today and begin praying for the sick tomorrow with a keen understanding of the reasons why healing ministry is so important for the present-day church. It contains all you need to get started.

In all my years of study at Fuller Seminary in preparation for ordination in the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA)and in my work for my D.Min., I have seen no one deal with the Scriptures more faithfully than Randy Clark and Bill Johnson. This book is going to have a powerful influence on the Church of Jesus Christ throughout the world for years to come.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great Book on Divine Healing 12 octobre 2011
Par Donald C. Mann - Publié sur
Format:Broché|Achat vérifié
For those who have been studying divine healing in the name of Jesus Christ this book is a great asset to understanding how the healing message has developed in these two authors. Their healing style reflects the Vineyard/Toronto approach more than the John G. Lake/Curry Blake or other approaches. I suspect it is a snapshot of where they were at the time of this writing, but will grow even more as we get closer to our model, Jesus, in ministering healing. The format is different chapters by the two authors so you get a slightly different flavor on the topics. Both have been involved in the healing ministry and in training others for healing so the content appears to be directed at what these two experienced workers have learned it takes to get Christians activated in performing this key ministry of Jesus. The book uses much testimony on both how each got started in the divine healing ministry, and how they are now practicing it with individuals to large crusades and groups. The explanation on how critical divine healing is to the Gospel is excellent. They describe how ministers operate in situations with individuals, groups, meetings and crusades. I was glad to see reference to prayer sessions that ran from instant (1-5 minutes) to 20 minutes to 5 hours. The teaching on how to use the word of knowledge with healing is very good.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Finally a true Kingdom guide for moving in healing! 16 mars 2012
Par Catlin Collins - Publié sur
I cant say enough great things about this book!

It is essential to move in healings. Not simply for the sake of moving in miracles, but because it is a supernatural expression of God's desire to love us in a powerful way. For us to be able to express the love of God in this manner to others, sinners or saints, is one of the greatest honors on the face of the earth. To speak life into deaf ears, sight to blind eyes, and to command the lame to come out of their wheelchairs and walk, is one of the most thrilling expieriences in this life.

In this book, Bill Johnson and Randy Clark do an amazing job of communicating the ease with which this can be accomplished. I have myself grown up in charismatic churches that sadly never moved in this. Always we would pray wrong, asking God what His will was. Since reading this book I have prayed for 4 separate individuals at a homeless outreach in my town and seen 4 different amazing miracles. Freedom from pain from a stroke, a car accident, knee pain, and back pain all happening in a 2 month period of time. 4 healings! That is %400 more than I have ever moved in in my life! haha!

The straight forward way of explaining how to move in this gift and the real life testimonies that can be read are great, but my favorite parts are the insecurity initially displayed by the men moving this and what they did to overcome that. It is encouraging to see such great men of faith be completely honest about the beginnings of their healing ministries.

Thank you so much for this book. If I could give this 10 stars I would. :)

Your thankfully blessed reader, Catlin Collins

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Read this if you want to be more effective praying for the sick 26 février 2012
Par A. Jennerjahn - Publié sur
Bill Johnson and Randy Clark write about healing because they have experienced the power of God, have prayed for people and seen miraculous results, and are eager to train others to pray too. I have heard them both speak in person, and have read some of their other books, so I had a pretty good idea of what the book would be like. I was pleased to see that they each contributed different chapters, rather than co-writing the whole thing. This allowed them to speak in their own voice, with their own flavor, and was more interesting and more effective than if they had had to compromise on every paragraph.
The first section of the book tells their own life stories, including their family backgrounds and the personal journey to get to a point where they regularly see God do miracles of healing.

The second section of the book lays a theological foundation, giving Biblical support for a Christian lifestyle of praying for the sick and expecting to see people healed. Randy explains the sociological, theological and church factors that lead so many people to be `unbelieving believers.' By this he means people who are believers in Jesus, but unbelieving regarding healing. Bill asks "Why do we have more faith for someone's conversion than we do for his or her healing?" (p121) I've heard Bill ask this rhetorical question before, and it always makes me think twice. We don't really question the reality or result of salvation. If you ask God for salvation, he saves you. Yet we do question the reality and result of healing. Bill explains that we have a cultural heritage that biases our interpretation of the Bible.

The third section of the book gets practical, and tells what they have learned about actually praying for the sick. Randy gives instructions about the 5 step prayer model (first popularized by John Wimber). Bill speaks about creating a faith culture and the power of testimony.

All in all, I found the book to be an amazing combination of theology, anecdotes, and practical advice.
