This album is simply astonishing. Pascal is the best singer/songwriter I've heard, and I've felt the same way since I first heard him 7 years ago. This double CD gives you the best of both worlds; a live album, in case you missed out on his most recent tour, and a studio album full of some of the best stuff I've heard anywhere. Pascal is the master of the ballad, and in songs like 'La Pretention de Rien' and 'Je Suis de l'Atlantique', he uses his amazing voice to great effect. 'La Folie de Plus', the closing track, is one of the best songs he's written, and brings to mind the manic sound of Muse. I've seen Pascal live several times, and the live CD sends a shiver down the spine - it is almost as good as being there. As a bonus, you get to hear his version of Madonna's 'Frozen', which French viewers have been lucky enough to see him perfom on TV. I just wish more people this side of the Channel would listen to non-English language artists - they really are missing out.
