Sound, Check. Looks, check. Better than beats, check! 20 avril 2011
Par AmazonAddict - Publié sur Amazon.com
I have to say i was skeptical about the Fanny Wangs, but they are impressive. I have had them now for a few weeks and they are now my go-to headphones. I owned a pair Solo's beats by Dre and I was pretty happy with them for the most part, like another reviewer said the bass can be overpowering. The Fanny Wangs are not, they are much friendlier to a larger range of music. Audio quality is crisp and clear, chord is a good length and the fit and style work well for me.

Comfort is there, they are comfy and I have no problem wearing them for hours. The split line for sharing is cool, although I have not used it. Cool feature if your in situations where you would use it. The reinforced metal hinges definitely feel secure and overall build quality feels better than my Solo's.

If bass is your thing and you want something thumping all the time then go with the Solo's, if you want something more true to sound and but has a genre friendly (still abundant) bass output then the Fanny Wangs are the way to go.

Fanny Wang, No customer service - cheap construction 13 novembre 2012
Par Tiffany Parker - Publié sur Amazon.com
I purchased my Fanny Wang's in April 2012. Within a month both of the metal covers protecting the hinges fell off. The headphones still worked so I continued to use them. In October 2012, less than 7 months after I purchased them, the plastic headband broke into 2 pieces as I was putting them on. Since there is NO support phone number or email address, the only way to contact the company is with their web site. Over the last 5 weeks I have sent repeated requests for someone to contact me, no one has emailed or called. I would not recommend Fanny Wang's to anyone due to a complete lack of customer service and cheap construction.

Not much better than the Solos 29 juillet 2011
Par Perdomon - Publié sur Amazon.com

I bought these over-ear headphones instead of the Dre Solos because I read dozens of reviews admonishing the heavy bass response in the Solos. After purchasing these headphones, i was pleased with the overall sound balance, but the clarity wasn't as superb as I expected from a $150 set of over-ears. Plus after trying on my roommates Dre Studios, I was sold by the unbelievable sound but astonished by the $270 pricetag! So as soon as I found a decent set of used Studios on Amazon, I made my purchase and am now reselling my Fanny Wangs.
These headphones look great and sound decent, but they're uncomfortable after 35-40 minutes of wear and the bass response isn't what I expected. If you can afford a pair of Dre Studios (used or new), buy them. The difference in comfort, sound quality, bass response, and overall looks is definitely worth the $20 extra I paid to upgrade.

Killing Me Softly (Boom, Boom, Pow!!!) 6 juillet 2011
Par Cthulhu - Publié sur Amazon.com

Between Colbie Caillat's airy rendition of Killing Me Softly and the Black Eyed Peas pulsating energetic Boom, Boom, Pow's bass, these Fannie Wangs delivered the goods - flawless, precise, authoritative sound, light and subtle when needed off a pair of comfortable to wear, cool-looking on-ear headphones.

- 10 Hz to 20 KHz range
- 40 mm titanium-plated drivers
- Compatible with any 3.5 mmm audio cable
- Original cable comes with 'DuoJack' (inline cable splitter), allowing a second listener to plug in (3.5 mm cable required)
- Folds for storage
- 2 yr. warranty
- Made in China

For the purpose of testing and evaluation, I listened to an eclectic mix of songs featuring voice, acoustic and electronic sounds often within the same song, classic and contemporary and covering everything form the deep bass of Silent Lucidity (Queensryche) to the highest of Ian Gillan's loud acutes from Child In Time. My sample also included Mother (Pink Floyd), S&M (Rihanna), Hotel California (The Eagles), Vodoo Chile (Stevie Ray Vaughan), Americano (Lady Gaga), Crash (Gwen Stefani) and so forth.

As I already stated in the first paragraph, there were no negatives. Yes, the bass is featured more prominently but not at the expense of the higher frequencies. The delivery of Colbie Caillat's delicate nuances approaches the quality of the much higher end over the ear headphones while anything 'hip hop' can be nothing short of brain-shattering if you let it be that way (kids, don't push the volume too high because while you can always replace your headphones, you're stuck with the same pair of ears for the rest of your life).

I had a time-limited test session in mind but once I was completed the test tracks on my list I simply couldn't stop. I ended up listening for over 2 hours and it took a lot of will power to take them off because they sound so good.

This is a cool looking pair of headphones and my 15 yr. old kid (who'll end up using them) agrees. I have the black version with red accents and red cord and they look good. And, just in case someone may confuse them with some other brand, Fannie Wang's signature appears in about half a dozen places - not an easy feat given that we are talking about a pair of headphones here.

They are quite comfortable too. The headphones are light and even on a big head such as mine, they extend to fully cover my ears and block most of outside noise. When not in use, they fold nicely for storage. The red cord allows for sharing your music with a friend featuring a port for them to plug in their headphones.

It's a shame and inexcusable that a pair of headphones this good comes with such a cheap-looking, low quality storage bag. Besides it offering zero protection, the way the soft fabric is stitched together it almost guarantees that the bag won't last long if actually used. And it being white will turn it into a dirty-looking bag in no time.

The warranty is a bit confusing. While the manual claims a 2-year warranty, the official warranty statement repeatedly mentions 2... months. I suspect it's a mistake and the warranty is indeed '2 years' but it's confusing. I hope that the warranty statement is re-written.

The Fannie Wangs are high quality, well built, easy to wear, good looking headphones. They would be an easy 5-star if it weren't for the terrible bag - and at THIS price point a decent, usable storage/protective case is expected - and the confusing warranty wording.

Wow.. guess I've used earbuds a long time, bass is back 21 juin 2011

I forgot what over the ear headphones with larger speakers can sound like, very good first impression with some of my favorite music, good range, but loving the bass response missing with my buds.
Would not say I'm ready to throw all my earbuds in a drawer, but nice to not have them stuck in my ear canals for a change.

These will extend in length on each side, for me I need the whole adjustment length to fit...total measurment from inside head band to center of ear cup is about 6 1/2"
Wearing them over a ball cap etc. would not work out in my case. Shortest they go is about 5 1/2" from headband to center of ear cup.

While they do fold up with a nice "click" for storage. They don't fold down all that much smaller, but enough to fit in the posh, well made, storage bag supplied. (pretty nice bag)
But they don't seem too bad hanging around your neck if just taking a break from the music.

Comfortable fit as far as weight and headband shape, but right off I remembered how hot your ears can get in warm weather with full ear cups with thick sound padding.
I don't think I'll be using them outside in the Summer months because of this.

4'3" cord has rubbery coating rather than cheap hard plastic, but wires/shielding seems a wee bit stiff for my tastes, and so far the "coil" is still in place from being in the package so is a bit bothersome hanging in the air. The added "tap" for another 3.5mm plug is nice idea to allow someone next to you to listen also. But the best thing is that the cord is NOT molded to the headphones and you can plug in any cord with a stereo 3.5mm plug on each end you might like better. Cord plugs into the left ear cup bottom.

Was a bit worried that these might be a little too much "bling" for me, but they look very nice in black and don't really shout out for everyone to look at you. Really more like a small version of aircraft headset in my opinion. I'm sure one of the other colors will grab attention if that is your desire.

I see Fanny Wang has a version on the way that has a microphone so they can be used with phones/computer also.
