Présentation de l'éditeur

Forefoot surgery has become better known only recently; and up until now has often presented many disadvantages, such as a painful postoperative period or deformity recurrence. The emergence of new techniques, notably the Scarf first metatarsal osteotomy and the Weil osteotomy of the lesser metatarsal, has helped to dramatically improve the treatment of static forefoot disorders. Likewise, the great toe osteotomy has seen an important evolution. Since 1991, the author has introduced these techniques to France from the USA, while studying and developing the corresponding implants and postoperative period, and improving the surgical management linking these different osteotomies. About 1000 surgeons in France and around the world are now using these techniques.
