It really makes you want to go out there and buy each cheese and the suggested wine. It is a good reference book that teaches you many cheese related notions - how to cut cheese, the order of chease eating, how to buy cheese etc. It is a must have if you want to integrate into french society and you have friends that love cheese.

I was looking for a book that provided information about the cheeses I love to eat.
This book did achieve that - it's well laid out, simple to understand, has tips on how to serve the cheese and is full of pictures.
The reason I give this book 4 stars is because I was hoping to read more about the history; understanding how the milk of one animal is better that the others while creating a certain kind of cheese; if the production techniques have evolved since the cheese was made a certain way, etc. And this book didn't have those details.
Don't get me wrong though, this book is super. I hope to be able to taste many more of the cheese listed in the book.

cadeau pour des amis americains epicuriens, tres bon livre d`apres leurs avis, tres complet au nveau des commentaires aisi que des photos, l`eau a la bouche !!! livraison impec.
