Shortcut Summaries specializes in creating high quality summaries of popular books. We condense the most important information and present it in a way that is easy to read, and directly to the point. We feel that your time is valuable, so we select books that we feel offer great content, but could be presented in a much shorter format. We offer these quality "Shortcut" versions, by quickly summarizing the main points and providing the true meat of the subject, without sacrificing important details. We welcome your feedback and comments as we are always looking for ways to improve our products.

Finally...It Makes Sense 12 août 2012
Par M. Dillon - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Format Kindle Achat vérifié
I've been struggling through the full book for a few weeks now, and I listened to the CDs as well, but this summary really helped me get the big picture...and it took me just part of an evening to read the whole thing.

I now have a much better grasp of the entire system and can go through the highlights and notes I added to my Kindle edition and start implementing this great system into my life. I may go back and refer to the full book too so I can gain more depth as needed.

I'm so thrilled that I am writing this right after finishing the book. See...it's already working...I'm Getting Things Done immediately that can be done in two minutes.

Too the point! 26 février 2013

In the time I read a couple of chapters in Allen's book I got the overall picture with this. This book took most of the preaching (i.e. 'you need to do this because') out. I'm already reading the book because I now I need to be more productive, you don't have to beat me on the head page after page over why I need to be more productive. One thing I appreciated was the Summaries eliminating most of the new agey stuff. GTD will help me get stuff done, but dude you are not replacing Jesus. The only thing I want to visualize is less stress and more freedom. GTD is an over bloated book that really should have been a forth the size. Don't get me wrong GTD is an effective system, but its really not more complicated than this summary. Save yourself time and read this. Also look up the secretweapon website (org) to see a great way to implement GTD.

If you're just too busy to get it all done - you need this book! 4 mai 2012

What a great and useful book! And short enough to actually read it, think about what it's saying, and use the techniques that are CLEARLY laid out for those of us that are just too busy to think. For me, having two offices and homes in two different states is enough to make me crazy - so I have to have extra careful organization and discipline to get the things I need to do done, and the things I want to do too. I loved this handy little book - which lends itself to a quick read, some real thought, and a re-read when feeling short on time/energy/life to get it all done. Highly recommended!

I can highly recommend this summary book 12 mai 2012

I needed this book! I was feeling so overwhelmed with homeschooling my teenagers as well as working from home and all the other jobs that come being a wife, mother and business owner that I had just got into a constant state of chasing my tail and only getting the bear essentials accomplished. This resulted in feelings of underachievement and overwhelm.I had previously looked at purchasing the original getting things done book, but just knew after flicking through it at the book store that I didn't have the time to read it. Thank goodness for this shortcut summaries book! I managed to read it in under an hour and as soon as I had read it I implemented the main strategy's right away. I'm no longer overloaded, my mind is free and clear to think about other things and I'm having more creative ideas instead of wasting my brain power on the small things that kept popping in to it. I finally have a system where all of that can be recorded and easily accessed. Too easy! Now I can get on with whats truly important. I can highly recommend this summary book and will be keeping my eyes open for more of the series.

Simple steps to boost productivity 14 mai 2012
Par BookishFriend - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: Format Kindle
This book lays out a series of simple steps that help boost productivity. The whole system is a mastery of self organisation and how to assign priorities and deal with tasks in a stress free manner.

It takes you through the mindset of highly productive people. It also takes you through how to address potentially productivity damaging items such as email and phones.

As a business owner I felt that this guide was quite helpful, particular the decision tree on assigning task priorities.

Nice read.
