I've installed and played several Glu titles, and I've been rather happy with each of them. Contract Killer is mostly no exception to this. Great graphics, sound effects, soundtrack, and gameplay. All very fun. Open Feint is running, enabling you to compare against others and compete to be the best. One thing that bugged me though is the heavy about of in game item purchasing. As in, a good amount of in items that can only be purchased with game credits. Admittedly, Glu does allow for earning credit by completing offers, but there is no way to get enough credits together for purchasing large weapons. While you can convert credits to game cash, you can't convert the other way around. To give you an idea, the largest weapon in the will set you back ~$30 if you purchase enough credits for it. The second issue I had with Contract Killer is that it really messed with my phone. The first time I played, the whole phone locked up and needed a battery pull. After that, it ran ok for 5-6 sessions, and then did it all over again. To date, Contract Killer is the only game that has done this to my phone on a consistent basis.
After a few days of playing, I think I see the issue with Contract Killer. Even with notifications turned off, it runs a process called AirMailService in the background, which I've seen grow from a measly 3.7MB of memory to over 90MB. Yikes!!!
After a good amount of play, I've given up on this title. When the contacts started asking for credits to give you jobs, as well as the requirement to purchase game credits to get access to better weapons sealed this game's fate. I've also dropped my rating a few notches for this.
