Having been recently diagnosed with a mild gluten allergy, it looks like it's time for me to jump on the gluten-free bandwagon. An interesting fact in the introduction of this book is that many of the "gluten-free foods on the market today often contain more fat and sugar than their gluten-containing counterparts." I'm certainly glad I read that prior to just buying a ton of gluten-free stuff I thought would be healthy!

I like the fact that the author doesn't give some long boring diatribe on gluten and everything known to man around this allergy. Instead, the facts are spelled out in just a few paragraphs so I can jump to exactly what I bought this book for - the recipes. This book has 30 delicious recipes covering all meals of the day. I've only had time to try a couple of the recipes so far (Thai Pork Wraps & Smoked Trout w/ Scalloped Potatoes), but they were very good. Can't wait to make more.

I have two children - a 15-year old and an 8-year-old. We recently found out that we have gluten allergies, and since then, it's been a major challenge identifying meals that we can eat that are quick, simple and tasty. Our favorites from this book are the rice coated crispy tofu, coconut fish sticks, and the oat and apricot pancakes. It has been an adjustment getting used to a gluten-free diet but many of the recipes from this book are fast becoming our new favorites.

This book is great! I love all most of the recipes, particularly the Thai Pork Wrap and the Rice Coated Crispy Tofu. I've been living by myself for a while and after work, I'd call my friends up to go out for dinner because I don't know what to make for my meals or I'm too lazy to throw something together that's healthy and enough nutrient to fulfill my daily amount. Of course, eating isn't healthy either. My friend recommended that I look into this book with simple yet delicious and healthy recipe to cook up something nice without taking up too much time. It's also a great way for me to save money from eating out every night. The recipes are simple and preparation take really little time. I follow these recipes to prepare my breakfast and dinner and I'm really happy with it!

Excited about trying out the lasagna stuffed spaghetti squash, crisp baked lemon cod, coconut fish sticks, prosciutto-wrapped basil shrimp, and sesame chicken with broccoli.

It also has helpful 'what foods to eat' and 'what to avoid' sections, along with excellent references and resources at the end of the book.

Thanks for all the great information, and looking forward to making some of these recipes.

I just bought this book, and skimmed the recipes. I LOOK forward to trying the recipes. I hope that the recipes are easier than they look. I received a free gluten-free dessert recipe book, which I think is very generous of the author.
