This is a user friendly guide, a little of everything. Some history to purchase and growing herb guide. It includes interesting and easy ways to use herbs for cooking, tea and other things I had not thought of. The recipes could be used to complete many different dishes to give a different flavor.

A useful book for all of us who are into gardening and growing our own herbs. It gives practical tips on where particular herbs grow best and whether they prefer moist or dry soil. I now know that I needn't water my pots with thyme and rosemary that much in summer, and that eating fresh parsley after dinner has the effect of breath freshener! Really useful, also if you want to read some good and simple recipes.

She tries to make it easy for the newcomer by providing very helpful information she knows they should know even before they decide to become involved in gardening. This book shows really easy ways to grow a kitchen herb garden. You could start with a few and build form there. There's nothing like the taste of fresh herbs and the author makes this a really easy prospect. And added bonus is that her writing style is very easily understood, and she gets you started quickly.
