I learned about intervals last year and incorporated them in my cycling program. Long story short I was able to get better results in less amount of training time. For the first time I was able to do a century in under 5 hrs, so I know they work. Get ready though because they hurt! a good way.

I got this book to understand more of why they worked and more tips on how to do them. This book does not dissapoint, I am motivated to keep it up. Very good information! Short and to the point.

I have been trying to get into a regular exercise routine for the last few months. I am great at getting one started and then seem to let things lapse. What I liked about this book is the concept of short and sweet. I have done some interval training in the past and know that it can be effective. I love the idea of picking out a spot in between two trees and making that your circuit, so to speak. I can easily do this as I live out in the country and have lots of trees outside.

I like the idea of changing up your routine and this book does a good job of explaining why and how High Intensity Interval Training works. I plan on getting out my bike and fixing the tire and doing some interval training while cycling. The book is just the right length with a good amount of detail, but not too much as to put you off the idea of HIIT altogether. An informative and enjoyable read.

I've now read a few books on HIIT but after reading this book there's no need to buy any more. This book was by far the longest and most thorough and informative of the bunch. Not only that, but the book truly does inspire you to get out there and start hitting it. The book starts with scientific studies which show the superiority of short intense workouts as compared to longer and more manageable exercise. Then it goes into the more practical aspects such as the range of things you can actually do during a HIIT session. I was surprised to read that the list is quite long and you don't need to be a member of a gym in order to follow the advice in this book. Best of all, as long as you have at least a small amount of exercise experience, one can start HIIT immediately. I'm looking forward to getting more from my workouts and in less time, win/win.

I have lost a lot of weight over the past few years, but have really been wanting to shake up my own exercise routine a bit. I love biking and walking but really can't seem to push myself to get into running. I think maybe this method might change that for me and I'm so excited about it.

I've been thinking about trying some interval training but haven't really been sure where to start with this. This book gave me exactly the info and roadmap I was looking for. The book is laid out very nicely and I love how the author teaches without assuming that the reader understands all of the mechanics of exercise.

I especially perked up when I read that this type of training can be done very nicely with cycling. YAY! Maybe I will start with that after all and then see how I go with the running to vary my routine.

I loved that the book includes sample HIIT tracks that are visual. It really helped me to understand exactly what the routine would be like. Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to shake up their exercise routine or learn more about getting started with interval training.

If you are looking for short duration workouts you won't find them here. Each workout runs between 20 to 30 minutes, which means a really hard HIIT workout. Guaranteed results.
