4.0 étoiles sur 5 Happy employees Successful Company! 28 septembre 2013

Happy Company by Can Akdeniz is a naturally positive guidance tool on each of the necessary factors to build a company productive, functional and happily strong. The 14 Fundamentals of a happy company are great tools to build your company strong. I especially like the fact the author highlighted the importance of "feeling valued." If employees don't feel like they aren't appreciated or hold value, negative thoughts and feelings are triggered. This book is motivational, inspirational and action-oriented. Serving up the information you need to Get Happy in business.
Have a read if you are serious about getting your business happy! Nice work!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great book 24 septembre 2013

"The Happy Company" is the second book I've read by Can Akdeniz. I admire and agree with his
business philosophy that companies do better when their employees are happier. In this book, he
gives examples of major companies that have put their employee's happiness first and reaped rewards.

Akdeniz shows how companies like Nike, GE, and Facebook have put high priority on happy corporate
culture and how that plays a major part in their success. Some, like Hasbro, routinely give their
employees a half day. While it may appear risky to lose that much in productivity, Akdeniz shows how
this policy has made workers feel appreciated, and as a result they flourish.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who manages others. It's an inspiring look on a better way
to manage employees.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great book on company's and their employees... 28 mars 2014

This is a very interesting book, that makes a lot of sense as it points out that a company is really about service, but not just to customers, but also to the employees. A happy employee is a good employee and the books discusses the 14 fundamental tools to get there.

One of the big points is that if an employee thinks enough of the company, that employee also becomes a customer of the company.
An unhappy employee can cause many problems for a company, and making these folks happy is not as tough as many people claim, and the rewards are many fold. Very good read.

I know that the book sings the praises of Amazon anbd maybe working at corporate headquarters is great but there is an underbelly to Amazon that is anything but great: low pay, horrendous working conditions, etc. in their warehouses. Wegmans is another compnay heralded in the book, yet when they moved into my geographic area several years ago a checker told a friend of mine that they don't like to make employees full-time thus they don't receieve benefits (maybe that has changed as that was almost ten years ago). Anyway, life for those at a companies corporate headquarters may be different than that for those working in the trenches for the compnay.

I quit about half way through the book, as there were just too many instances of "her and" instead of "she and" for me to give credence to the author.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 The Key is Happy Employees 28 octobre 2013

The author offers more than a guide for creating a new business. His encouragement to employees from other experienced entrepreneurs and realistic assessment of the risks involved to use the resources required to make your venture a success.

As an entrepreneur, your role as a business owner is all about service. Customers that enjoy service will most definitely return. Happy Company is a book that understands this from its basis. This goes for your employees as well as your customers. I very much appreciated that this book spelled out how easily an employee can feel unappreciated. Often, employees can be the "forgotten" ones and I think one of the best values a business can have is that it's the employees' think so highly of the company that they are also customers. The author fills this book with excellent information and advice. Can Akdeniz uses many examples of things the largest and most appreciated companies in the world have done to make their employees feel confident and happy.

Starting a business has never been easier. Follow Akdeniz's simple steps and you will substantially increase your odds of success.
