5.0 étoiles sur 5 Effective and Easy To Follow Advice! 13 novembre 2014

I tend to be one of those people who have a lot of trouble socializing when I’m in a group – a work party, a cocktail party, a convention, etc. I find myself shutting down at these events.

So I was really interested in the advice this book would offer. After reading it and trying out the suggestions, I can say that they definitely work!

I’m not going to restate what the books says – you should read it!

The book is short, but to the point. It is very well-written. The author identifies the likely problems for people who have trouble socializing, and sets forth the specific steps to take to overcome the problem.

I’ve read other books on the subject, but none were as concise and helpful as this one.

Again, I’ve followed the advice in the book and it is working! The book is well worth the read.

Becoming a socially skilled person does not come easy for some people. If you are generally introverted, you may have to force yourself to make new contacts and build up to initiating conversation with new people. The key is just not to make a new contact and have light conversation, but also to sustain that conversation to appear engaging and interesting. In this book, How to Be Social: A Guide to Talking to People with Comfort, Confidence, and Ease, the author Kathleen Bishopson provides straightforward tips to become skilled at not only meeting new people, but also how to dominate the conversation in a tactful manner and become the life of the party regardless of one's personality type. I highly recommend this book if you desire to increase your social skills and meet new people from all walks of life. Perfect for people in business!

Kathleen Bishopson, has written one book I think all folk should read, especially those suffering from shyness. The book is full of extremely practical advise on how you can highly improve in all areas of social interaction.

After working in the Social Worker area for over 26 years, I have seen many without any social interaction skills at all, and those who think they can, however, their interaction leaves a lot to be desired.

This book is easy to follow, I hope it is a huge success for the author, as honestly I believe that the points discussed in the book once put into practice will give so many a huge confidence boost and change their lives for the better.

Well done Kathleen

Our culture rewards extroverts and is often punitive towards those who are introverts. The reason I gave this short book 5 stars, the reason I loved it, is because the author's approach to helping introverts become more social is thoughtful, accepting and kind. She recognizes that us introverts aren't wrong for often not being comfortable around people. We're just another personality type. Therefore her tips and suggestions and advice are the type of thing that it is easy to accept and utilize.

And even if you're not an introvert, or even shy, there are lots of good instructions to communicate better, make friends more easily and enjoy, yes, enjoy, being more social.
