Présentation de l'éditeur

When two unlikely allies become two unwitting outlaws, will two unforgettable lovers defy unbeatable odds?

Bonnie Rae Shelby is a superstar. She’s rich. She’s beautiful. She’s impossibly famous. And Bonnie Rae Shelby wants to die.
Finn Clyde is a nobody. He’s broken. He’s brilliant. He’s impossibly cynical. And all he wants is a chance at life.
One girl. One boy. An act of compassion. A bizarre set of circumstances. And a choice – turn your head and walk away, or reach out your hand and risk it all?
With that choice, the clock starts ticking on a man with a past and a girl who can’t face the future, counting down the seconds in an adventure riddled with heartbreak and humor, misunderstanding and revelation. With the world against them, two very different people take a journey that will not only change their lives, but may cost them their lives as well.
Infinity + One is a tale of shooting stars and fame and fortune, of gilded cages and iron bars, of finding a friend behind a stranger’s face, and discovering love in the oddest of places.

"I believe in Bonnie and Clyde" and I believe in Amy Harmon!

I became a HUGE fan since "Running Barefoot" and "Making Faces" just blew me away. Every one of her book is a pearl and "Infinity + One" is an other masterpiece. I baught "Infinity + One" with blind faith, not knowing what would be the plot and I'm so happy I did it.
Amy has me wrapped around her little finger.

I love her writing style. It's elegant, light, effortless (or so it seems)and deeply beautiful (I'd like to write weepily beautiful). And her books are always insightful (I know, no pressure for your next book Amy, sorry :-).

Back to "Infinity + One" now.

Finn (Infinity Clyde) is an ex con who was at the bad place at the bad time. He's been convicted to four years prison for unknowingly helping his brother in an armed robbery. But he is so much more than that. He is a brilliant mathematician. I loved how Amy made mathematics seem like beautiful poetry. It's a tribute to her talent really because I assure you I'm not usually moved by paradox and equations.

Finn will rescue Bonnie Rae, country singer and acclaimed star. Right after his heroic move, he questions his decision: "He sat on the Blazer's rusted bumper, torn between his own survival and the survival of the weeping girl he'd walked away from."

Bonnie Rae is in a bad place, grieving the death of her identical twin, Minnie Mae. Her entourage, especially her Gran, has used her talent to bring in money, uncaring for her own feelings."They didn't tell me(her sister's death)until after her funeral, a week later. And Gran didn't want me to cancel the dates."

Her whole world fell apart "When I got home, nobody was there but my mama.

5 Infinite Love stars ♥ Staying awake until 3AM because you can't stand the thought of ever putting down the book you're reading, that's what I call a five star story. Bonnie and Finn's love was so pure, so raw, so real, I was mesmerized by their connection.
After all, Infinity + 1 does equal two...

"You've read the story of Jesse James
Of how he lived and died;
If you're still in need
Of something to read,
Here's the story of Bonnie and Clyde."

Infinity + One is a Beautiful Story!

As a book blogger I honestly don’t buy many books. I get so many review copies & Kindle freebies and have Amazon Prime and a great library nearby so I borrow books I don’t have review copies of. When I do buy books it is usually to support an author. Take for example the boxed set Romance Through the Ages, when it went on sale for .99 cents I bought it. I already had copies of most of the books in the set but purchased a copy anyway to support the authors. Same things with the Girls on Fire boxed set. I either have or could easily get a review copy of all the books in that set but again I purchased a copy to support the authors.

My first introduction to Amy Harmon was when her book was added to the Romance Through the Ages boxed set. I had read books by 5 of those authors and had a couple books by the 6th author. But I had never heard of Amy Harmon.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I met Amy Harmon at a conference the day before Infinity + One was released. I was very impressed by what she had to say so I purchased a copy of her book when I got home. I could have asked for a review copy but felt like purchasing it was what I should do.

I had other things I should have been doing yesterday besides just reading this book. I spent the morning walking and reading and then opted to take my daughter to the pool so she could swim and I could keep reading. I was about 75% done by the time we got home and my daughter asked when I’d be finished. I told her I hoped to be done before bedtime. At bedtime she checked my Kindle and I had started another book which earned me some 8 year old praise for meeting my goal. Just ignore the fact that housework didn’t get done and dinner didn’t get made. That’s the consequence of a great book!

I started this book knowing there was going to be some content in it. Amy had talked about agonizing over every swear word she included trying to keep her characters authentic. Although she is LDS she is writing for a National market and writing about characters who do swear. So I went into this book with a very open mind. Even so there was more language then I was expecting. Easily 100 instances of mild language and several moderate instances. Definitely more than I was expecting but somehow she managed to keep me reading and enthralled in the storyline. There were a couple instances when what would have obviously been strong language was omitted such as this case where I read.

“Clyde said a bad word under his breath”

I actually laughed out loud when I read that… we’d heard plenty of language but at least that instance was edited out.

There was innuendo and fade to black sex scene but it wasn't gratuitous. There were a couple conversations from Clyde’s past I could have done without because they were a little crude and crass but other than that the book was beautiful done.

Now that content is out of the way on to the actual story. Very simply put… I loved it.

This modern day tale of Bonnie and Clyde had me rooting for these misunderstood outlaws hoping their story didn’t end in the same tragedy as their namesakes. Everything in this story was woven together so perfectly. We all know I’m no writer but I love when I come across a well written story. I read to be entertained and uplifted but recognize those rare occasions when books that entertain and uplift are so beautifully written that there is a magic feel to them. Infinity + One had that magic.

I’m a succor for stories based on road trips and enjoyed the journey this one took us on. Perhaps that is because my mom took us on a 7 week road trip across the US so I have been to many of the places mentioned. I often pass through Primm, Nevada while traveling to visit family so I plan to stop and see Bonnie & Clyde’s death car on my next trip instead of the outlet mall.

While this was my first book by Amy Harmon it won’t be my last. I intend to go back and read her previously released titles and will be awaiting her next book release.

Is this for you? If you can’t do language then skip this one. Although most of the language is mild there is a lot of it. Infinity + One is not a young adult story, I won’t be giving it to my 14 year old. Technically the character’s ages & the coming of age story line would classify this as New Adult but I hesitate to label it as such. It’s too beautifully written to place it along side most of what passes as New Adult these days.

Rating: 5 Stars – I loved it.

Content: Language throughout, innuendo and fade to black sex.
As much as I dislike “content” in books the language & sexual content and innuendo didn’t bother me in this book like it typically does. I started reading it knowing there was language and having heard Amy talk about why she uses it in her writing… so I’m sure that influenced me. That plus the fact that her writing is so beautiful and uplifting instead of being crass and crude allowed me to look beyond the content to the beautiful story.

Source: Purchased from I don’t buy many books but I don’t regret this purchase. If you have Amazon Prime you can currently borrow it for free.

I finished this book yesterday and ruminated on my thoughts for a while, wanting to provide the best review possible of a book that has rekindled my faith in romance novels and reminded me why I resumed reading after a decade hiatus. But, no matter how I try to plan, I just can't seem to get my thoughts in order so I'm just going to ramble and hope it serves as testimony to how utterly breathtaking this book was for me.

I love romance. All genres, sub-genres, and sub-sub-genres. That said, it seems as of late that I've fallen into a pile of surface-level romance. Ones where I have to suspend so much reality that it almost seems ridiculous. I still enjoy them, don't get me wrong, but I found myself longing for a book that went deeper than that basics. I wanted characters that I could see myself in, in some way. A storyline that sucked me down to a place where I couldn't get enough. I wanted connection. I wanted honesty. I wanted imperfection. And Amy Harmon delivered that and so much more.

I was hesitant to read this book at first. A little skeptical of the premise and a little fearful because I was certain that no book could top the way Making Faces made me feel. I've re-read that book multiple times and each visit is just as powerful as the first. Infinity + One has demolished my fears, surpassed my hopes and has found a home right next to Ms. Harmon's other works in my all-time favorites collection of novels. This book is an absolute work of art.

Amy Harmon has a way if writing a story I want to believe in. She gives me characters that I can love despite all their imperfections. Her words are magic, creating this universe that I feel a part of, like I'm right there beside the people I'm rooting for. I'm the third wheel but in the best possible way.

For me, Infinity + One is a story of being lost. Of being sad. Of being lonely. Those are emotions that we can all relate to at some point in our lives and she has eloquently given them a home in this novel. She's shown us that it's okay to feel this way. More than that, it's normal for anyone, anywhere. It also shows you that you can't judge someone's life by what you see. Because most of the time, it's only a fraction of the truth that's hiding beneath the surface. Everyone's pain is different.

This book is enchanting. It weaves a tale of two lost and lonely souls trying to find their way, their own happiness, in a world where pain, sadness, and sorrow seem to always outweigh the good stuff. Books like Infinity + One are the reason I read. It is a shining example of the novels I long for.

So, thank you Ms. Harmon. You make me think; you make me feel. And those are the two things I long for in books I read. My life is enhanced by books like this. And for that, I am forever grateful.

This book in one word: MAGICAL

After reading Making Faces and A Different Blue, I became convinced that Amy Harmon was an otherworldly being, transported from some far off place in the future, where they’ve already answered all the difficult questions about life, and she’s been placed on earth, disguised as an author to impart her wisdom. I love reading her books, because they have a mystical undertone, one that quenches my philosophical yearnings, while leaving me still with more questions. She’s a witch who’s woven her spell and I’m unable to fight off this enchantment (not that I’d ever want to!).

Infinity + One is her latest concoction, and I can say that this brew is potent. From the very first pages, I was stunned, seized from the very opening scene, and subsequently stupefied by the thrilling ride that was the story of Infinity James Clyde and Bonnie Ray Shelby. From the moment that Finn reached out and saved Bonnie, they took me on a heart-pounding journey. The two were young, sometimes dumb, but always brave. On an almost desperate and heartbreaking search for freedom and redemption, Bonnie and Finn were impulsive, infuriating, and inspiring. These two experienced profound losses in their lives. They lost people who were intricately woven in their identity, and once gone, they unraveled. This story was about how they saved each other.

Infinity + One is about the thread that weaves through our souls, one that interlaces our individual chapters and creates a complete story. This love story touched me deeply and filled me. Another classic by Amy Harmon, this story transcends the romance genre, and should be read by any and everyone who just loves amazing literature. A top recommendation, and must-read!

I believe in Bonnie and Clyde.

Last Spring I stumbled upon a book called A Different Blue by Amy Harmon. I was blown away with it. The writing, the story, the characters, the was book perfection. Then, Making Faces came out and again I was totally blown away! It was my favorite book of last year and I couldn't shut up about it. So when I heard that Amy Harmon was again writing another book, I was beyond excited. And Amy Harmon did not disappoint with Infity + One! Books like hers are the reason that I love reading. Her writing is flawless. I become totally enamored by her characters and lost in the story, with real life fading away. I devoured this book. I don't want to give away any of the story because I want everyone to be able to experience this journey on their own and do it spoiler free. But I will say this...READ THIS BOOK! I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love again with Amy's storytelling!

80 years after the murder of the famous couple Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, Amy Harmon delivers a 21st century remake with a captivating story about two young people who are desperate to change their lives. A girl who wants to die and a boy who wants a chance at life.

Bonnie Rae Shelby has everything she ever wanted and more, though, because of certain events in her life, she can’t be happy with what she has. The money and the fame don’t feel good to her when the biggest treasure in her life, was stolen from her.

Finn Clyde, forced to a life he wasn’t at fault at but one that would follow him into the rest of his future. Until he met Bonnie…

Together, they embark on a journey that will not only change their lives, but also the lives of all the people around them; family, acquaintances and strangers.

A beautiful, powerful, thought provoking and heartwarming story about 2 people, betrayed by their past, looking for a future of their own, filled with humor and love but also sadness. A story that made me laugh, cry and gave me goose bumps.

A story that, like all of Amy Harmon books, will remain with you for a long time after you finished reading it.
