This comprehensive dictionary of 36,000 entries has been the standard reference for students and scholars faced with the difficult problem of correctly prounouncing Japanese names. Now, finally, available in a larger and more readable format, the dictionary is divided into two parts, the first organized by stroke count, to facilitate the search for readings when the characters are known; the second part organized alphabetically by romanized reading, to facilitate finding the characters for names whose pronunciations are known.
