stays put better than other sunglasses but still slides off 24 janvier 2011

these fit almost like goggles, so unless the bridge of your child's nose is high, your kid might be left with temporary imprint. they're very sturdy and can take a beating, but they don't stay on the head very well: either they begin to ride up, but more often, the strap at the back slides down. so it needs to be refit somewhat often. that being said, they're still much better and more fun to wear than regular shades. and because they fit close to the eyes, they provide better protection from the sun, which is what you really want from a pair of shades.

i recommend getting a color which contrasts from the background you plan to use these in for easier retrieval, i.e. get red if you're gonna use them for swimming, just in case you need to look for them.

I had purchased some Baby Banz for my son and they were way too small. These are perfect for my 8 month old son on the smallest fit.

My child hated them 10 janvier 2013

I think these would work if your child tolerates them. Having the strap and not being able to take them off and put them on herself drove my child absolutley nuts and she never wore them for more than 5 seconds at a time before throwing a fit and ripping them off. What good are sunglasses your child won't wear? I would just consider the temperment of your child before purchasing. As for the glasses themselves, there seemed to be nothing innately wrong with them, they just did not work for us. We will save them to see if our next child will use them, otherwise we will be regifting.

We found a pair of sunglasses for toddlers where the part that goes over the ear is straight instead of bent and the nose bridge is symmetric, so the glasses do not have an upside down or rightside up, whatever way you put them on is correct. Since she can put these on herself without "doing it wrong" she has more control and is willing to wear them. She even asks to wear them if she sees them lying out because she thinks putting on glasses is exciting (my husband and I both wear glasses). They are called "Julbo Kid's Looping Sunglasses." We leave the cord off for now since she won't wear them if she can't put them on and off by herself, but you do have the option of attaching a cord to hold them in place better on the head if needed. (there are holes for attaching at cord the back of each temple behind the ear). If your toddler sounds like they have a similar "do it all by myself" temperment, I would give these glasses some consideration instead.

Don't like the velcro placement 7 juillet 2012

The sunglasses have fit my son from age 18 months to 2 years.
They are very rugged, and difficult for him to break.
Unfortunately, he won't wear them due to the placement of the velcro.
The velcro used for sizing the the sunglasses makes the band over the right ear more than double the thickness of the band on the left ear. It pushes my son's right ear out, and he doesn't like it. I wouldn't like this either. I wish the velcro were thinner.

Not Great... 26 avril 2014

I was excited to get these for my toddler (almost 2)...the reviews sounded like this was a great and successful product. When I received them they looked a little bit small. They looked a little more like swimming goggles to me than sunglasses. The color wasn't accurate at all compared to the item pictured online. I got the "Sunset Orange" color...which should really be labeled "Bright Fluorescent Orange." They are really bright! They were going to be an Easter present for my son so I didn't try them on him right away. When I gave them to him on Easter morning he was less than thrilled about them from the start...to say the least. I was disappointed because he loves my sunglasses and his dad's sunglasses and he is always wanting to wear them. I thought he would be excited to get his very own pair. I don't think that he thought that these were really sunglasses either! The band around the back seemed to really bother him and the lenses were so close to his eyes that his eyelashes would rub against them and get stuck. The lenses also seemed to be really close together too. He would take them off and hand them to me and say, "Off Mommy. Off." I would say to him, "Do you want these or should I send them back to the store?" He replied, "Mommy send back to store." I obviously had to return these. The band might be alright and perhaps even convenient for some toddlers, but mine did not like it. I wouldn't say that these are an awful product but they just didn't work for our little guy. I will be looking for other options.
