About the author
James R. Boran has been studying cetaceans since the mid-1970s. He has worked on a wide variety of projects but his main research interest is the comparative behavioral and social ecology of cetaceans, primarily dolphins. He is a Graduate Tutor at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in Manchester, England.
