Présentation de l'éditeur

Kindle publishing doesn't have to mean fifty-dollar royalty checks and hours spent updating countless Facebook pages all so that a couple hundred people may or may not grab a free copy of your book.

Kindle publishing can actually be the most magical thing of all to writers: the chance to have a lucrative self publishing career doing the thing they love most.

Writing words down.

We couldn't have said any of this 10 years ago. 10 years ago the New York traditional publishers owned the gate...and the gatekeepers...and the land surrounding the gatekeeper.

But now...as long as you have a great kindle ebook cover (and not one that looks like a fourteen-year-old with a bootleg copy of Photoshop made it...and you write a decent (and passionate) book then your self published book will look EXACTLY the same as a Stephen King novel.

Kindle publishing levels the playing field.

As long as you do it right.

That's why I decided to write this book. To show writers who are new to self publishing a simple step-by-step process for preparing, publishing and promoting their book.

And actually make a damn good living while you're at it.

In Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 we show how you build the ultimate tribe of readers who are passionate (slightly unstable) and will support you through your entire career.

In Chapter 3: How to Make Your Book Look LIke a Million Dollars (on a Ten Cent Buget) we show you some ninja tricks for formatting, editing, and getting a kick-ass book cover that'll make your self published book look like it rolled off the Simon and Schuster assembly line.

In Chapter 4: The 7 Deadly Sins of Kindle Publishing (and How to Avoid Them), we go over all the things you absolutely gotta do when uploading and publishing your manuscript to the Amazon Kindle self publishing platform. (And most of them, you've never heard of.)

In Chapter 5: The Strange, Mysterious (and Super Important) World of Amazon Book Reviews...we show you how to get actual reviews from living humans (who aren't related to) in a way that will boost your sales and put you that much closer to quitting that stupid day job.

In Chapter 6: The Ultimate Guide to a Kick-Ass Book Launch...we break down a simple pre-launch process that will have you primed for maximum Kindle sales awesomeness.

In Chapter 7: How to Crush it on Launch Day...we go over a few simple tweaks that can make the difference between becoming a Kindle bestseller or simply just another wannabe writer who wants to write full time.

And in Chapter 8: Infinity...and Beyond!...we talk about how you can parlay all this delicious Kindle publishing awesomeness into a lucrative (if you want) career being a speaker, consultant, expert...or whatever the heck you want to do.

I have sincerely put everything I know about Kindle publishing into this book. My hope is it helps you accomplish, what I've been able to accomplish.

Quit my stupid cubicle job and write...full time.

Good luck with your Kindle publishing exploits!

As a self-published author myself, after reading this book, I realize how much I didn't know about self-publishing and to that end, marketing as well. Which is, as mentioned, not usually the forte of a writer. I was one of those that thought the marketing aspect was left to the literary agent or publishing house. Thanks to this book, I now realize how wrong I was! Michael Rogan's writing is always direct and to the point with no holds barred. It's this kind of writing that should be used in all how-to books because it actually tells you "how-to" without all the theory behind it.

As I prepare to launch my book, I've purchased 4 different books on self publishing through Kindle and other platforms.
Yes, many of these books have been helpful. This book is no different however, the author does what none of the other books does and that is provide a step by step system that I can easily follow from start to finish.
Because of that, I feel like I can navigate my way through self publishing on kindle and have a descent plan to learn from on the way.

BTW, I ranked this four stars because I believe Michael is right that readers ignore 5's, but this really is a 5...shhhh.

This book was a HUGE help to me in the launch of my debut novel. I don't know how I could have done it as successfully without the easy, step-by-step guidelines set out in this Kindle publishing guide. I surpassed my goal for the number of free downloads by over one thousand and was on several Best Seller lists in several countries. My advice to others: read this book, follow the guidelines, enjoy your success.

I've read quite a few of Rogan's titles. All of which I love, especially his tips on Twitter marketing. I'm happy to say I've used some of his strategies to successfully increase my ranking on Google through backlinks and other techniques.
I am a published author and copywriter. Although I'm happy with my publisher, I wanted to learn more about self-publishing on Kindle and "finding my perfect audience" as Rogan deftly puts it. I appreciated his tips about niche bloggers and the importance of good reviews. My goal is add to a few more Amazon reviews and strengthen my ties with the online community in the next two weeks.

I recommend this book to soon-to-be published and self-published authors. As Rogan notes, it is crucial you start way in advance of your launch date. I wish I had read this book earlier. A few of the strategies were already known to me, but it would have been good to use his tips on blogging before the book was published, especially the e-book version on Kindle. Now, I have to start half way in between and it's a rather awkward proposal.

Whether you are published or self-published, every author needs to know how to market his book. The good old days when publishers did most of the marketing for you are well and truly over. This book helps bridge the gap between your everyday knowledge of social media and an expert's. It gives you clear and concise strategies on how to market your book with easy-to-follow steps. Wow! Michael, you have hit it out of the park with "Kindle Publishing Made (Stupidly) Easy". Your style is delightful and you make learning easy.

Readers will want to have a pencil and pad handy to notate all of the great tips, ideas, and outright resources included. Although, I couldn't put the book down and had to read through the whole thing first. What a great schematic for your Kindle book roll-out. No Kindle publisher should even start thinking about or writing their first/next book without first reading this text. Definitely worth many times more than this low price.
