About the author
Bernard A. Fashingbauer, a naturalist and science teacher, was director of the Lee and Rose Warner Nature Center, an affiliate of the Science Museum of Minnesota. He wrote numerous articles on natural history topics for magazines and newspapers, and led wildlife tours in the Arctic, Africa, South America and the Galapagos. Mr. Fashingbauer had a Masters in Wildlife Biology from the University of Minnesota.
