Get Hired Today With LinkedIn Profiles That Work!

If you're not getting 2 or 3 unsolicited calls a week, your LinkedIn profile sucks - The LinkedIn Insider

Are you craving a career change? Do you want to know how to land your dream job? Are you simply looking for work? If so, you need to be on LinkedIn with a profile that stands out from the crowd and gets you noticed. In short, you need a LinkedIn profile that doesn't suck.

In a few short years LinkedIn has changed the way recruiters and human resources departments look for future employees. Gone are the days when jobs are posted and you sent in your resume in the hopes of landing an interview. With LinkedIn recruiters can now pro-actively go through potential candidates and find the right fit right away. How do I know this? Because I used to be a recruiter myself. What's more I was a recruiter for LinkedIn.

My position as a recruiter at LinkedIn gave me a unique perspective on what makes LinkedIn profiles stand out and what can sink them. I know what recruiters and human resources people are looking for as I've talked to them. What's more I've seen LinkedIn from the inside so I know what kind of profiles get traffic and which ones are ignored. It's really not that difficult. If you do a few things correctly that ANYONE can do with their LinkedIn Profile you can expect the following:

  • Recruiters and potential employers will come to you
  • You'll be in a position of power when they do call (they already want you!)
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry
  • Your profile will stand out from the overwhelming amount of half assed profiles out there
  • Turn up on the first page of LinkedIn search results
  • Turn online connections into real meetings offline
In simple and straightforward language I explain how to do all of the above and more. If you want to gearshift your job search from neutral into overdrive get LinkedIn Profiles that don't Suck! Today. Your dream job awaits!

Biographie de l'auteur

The LinkedIn Insider (not his real name) worked for over three years as a recruiter at LinkedIn. In that time he learned first hand the simple things that need to be done to make a profile successful. This is his first and most likely will be his only book on the subject.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 I love it because it is written by someone who worked as a LinkedIn Recruiter 20 novembre 2013

First thing first I have my own book, LinkedIn Secrets Revealed: 10 Secrets To Unlocking Your Complete Profile on LinkedIn.com (Similar To: LinkedIn Books, LinkedIn Success, LinkedIn Kindle, ... LinkedIn Influence, LinkedIn Careers) and I took my time in thinking about writing a review of this book, since it's in the same genre as my LinkedIn book.

If indeed the author (writing under a pen-name) did work for LinkedIn it's refreshing in that they have confirmed what is important to have included on your LinkedIn profile - at least from a LinkedIn recruiter's point of view.

It's refreshing, since there are very few books written from a hiring spec. One from a recruiter, looking to use LinkedIn to hire etc. I loved this book for 5 reasons.

1) It endorses what I believe your LinkedIn Profile should do for you - attract recruiters/potential connectors to your profile 24/7
2) It's easy to read, not too long, not too technical
3) The book doesn't tell you how to setup a LinkedIn profile. It's more about how to use it - well!
4) Tactic #7 is a strategy that few people understand and follow, some may have their own comments on using the profile as suggested - I like it
5) Tactic #4 - I like the way the author has written the very important purpose of "being present" on LinkedIn, "How do I connect with you, if I am not connected and I want to connect with you!" Remember make it easy for your potential LinkedIn Members.

Overall a good read and a book worth keeping for reference. I highly recommend getting this book.

By the way, the author never contacted me, nor do I know who they are. This is a genuine personal review of a good book on the social media platform LinkedIn.com

5.0 étoiles sur 5 I Finally Understand LinkedIn Profiles 23 novembre 2013
Par James Irwin - Publié sur Amazon.com

I have to admit I have been ignoring the importance of LinkedIn in job searches. Actually I have been naïve as to how important it is to have a profile that recruiters are attracted too. Everyone knows the best jobs are never posted for the public but few understand how to find them. LinkedIn isn't where you find them necessarily, it is where the jobs find you. That is if your profile doesn't suck.

Right from the beginning the author blew my mind by discussing how to maximize your profile with keywords. Who would have thought your professional profile needed to be keyword optimized. The tips in this book will make your profile stand out above all the others and most likely land you a dream job.

I struggled with Tactic #3 as I have a hard time selling myself but the benefits are undeniable. The people who make the most money are the best sales people. Not only in selling a product but in selling themselves. Each step you need to take is detailed clearly and with images to guide you. I don't think LinkedIn themselves could have produced a better guide to creating a winning LinkedIn profile.

This book is worth a lot more than the author is charging so I would pick up a copy today before he comes to his senses and raises the price.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Now, my LinkedIn profile is a lot better. 6 novembre 2013

Okay, so my LinkedIn profile isn't awesome. That was only because I did't really put any effort in. And I din't put any effort in because I did't know what to do or where to start. Now I do.

This little book (less than a half hour read) makes it super-easy to understand what to do (and why to do it) in relation to setting up your LinkedIn profile professionally.

Now, my LinkedIn profile is a lot better. Just wish it has also covered how to get more value/use out of my now great looking LinkedIn Profile.

If you're looking to get hired on LinkedIn, this is the only book you'll need. It's a slim volume and not full-sized pages, so you'll be able to read it in less than an hour, as I did. That is its greatest virtue but one of its drawbacks if you were looking for something that would help you with more than just setting yourself up to be found by recruiters.

Best tip for job-seekers: skip LinkedIn Skills. It is too easily and too routinely hacked for recruiters to pay attention to it. For you to not worry about currying Skill votes will save you so much of your life's valuable minutes and hours that it is worth the price of the book for that alone. Except, now you know the secret.

But there's another secret the author imparts for job-seekers that is also worth the price of admission. It comes at the end, so when you get to it you'll know that's what I'm talking about. This method will put you 99.99% ahead of your competition, says the author. If those numbers hold true, you're set to beat out 9,999 other candidates. Those are the people who didn't buy the book and follow the method.
