Book Description
This book is a collection of old and rare picture postcards, plus a sprinkling of more recent photographs to help put the old images into context. Many of the postcards are in private collections and are rarely seen in public, but now we can all enjoy these wonderful pictures of old Liverpool in its glory days as the shipping capital of the world. The collection brings back nostalgic memories for many local people and illustrates how areas have changed as handsome old buildings have been replaced by more utilitarian architecture. This nostalgic trip begins at Liverpool city centre, carries on through the suburbs to the Transporter Bridge at Runcorn, and comes to an end at New Brighton.

This is the latest addition to our postcard series and, on this occasion, we have used a large format book to present the high quality images.
