About the author
Veronique Tadjo is a writer, illustrator and painter from the Ivory Coast. She studied in the Ivory Coast, France (PhD from the Sorbonne and African-American Litertaure and Civilization) and at Howard University in the US. She has written books of poetry and essays, which have won awards, and has edited anthologies of African writing. Veronique has lived all over the world and is now based in Johannesburg, with her husband and two sons.
